“Family Trip to Hokkaido Sapporo attractions with Kumiko”
What can I say about this tour guide other than YOU MUST utilize her as your guide. Our second tour day was 1/2 a day to see some sights in Sapporo that were more difficult to get to using subways, buses, and walking. Kumiko planned a perfect route and allowed us time at each location to explore. We asked for a great lunch stop, and she provided a local restaurant for fantastic Soba. It was delicious! The information she provided at each stop was interesting and provided us with an understanding and appreciation for what we were seeing. Kumiko is friendly and fun, and her love of her job shines through every moment you spend with her. We are grateful to have had her for 2 separate tours! If you are looking for the perfect guide, look no further. Working with her was a great experience

Thank you so much again for the nice review for our second tour in Sapporo. I felt so happy seeing you all in relaxing atmosphere to explore the each destinations like local people. The thing I was impressed from you the most is that you were always trying to see and understand the story or the scenery behind what you were in front of . Like just watching the flower , the father was mentioning about the relaxing lives of local people, and Just being the Soba restaurant , you see the close relationship of the local community and kindness of the working people there. Those are the exactly the things I would like you to know about my favorite hometown. And I felt really happy and deeply appreciate that you showed such a beautiful attitude with generous respect and nice smiles. Thank you again for letting me be the one of your family members throughout the tours , by which , I think I could offer more comfortable time and space on the day . And also I could see a beautiful sunset of your Maui island behind your charming smiles and thoughtful attitude for both my place and locals . Hope we can meet again someday With lots of thanks Kumiko

“Family Hokkaido Trip and it was a fantastic tour of Furano and Biei”
Kumiko was the BEST tour guide: her English is excellent, and her knowledge of her home island of Hokkaido is very in-depth. Kumiko's joy and love for her guiding was evident every moment of the day. She joined our family in ice cream making and eating at the Furano Wine and Cheese factory. The pizza there was great, too! When we arrived at Tomita Farm, the weather changed and it was pouring rain. She provided umbrellas for a couple of family members that did not bring one along, so kind and thoughtful. Kumiko is an excellent driver, and we felt safe while staying on our schedule to see everything. She answered our questions, took pictures for us, and laughed along with our family banter in the van. From the online booking experience to the end of our day, it was smooth, easy, and enjoyable all along the way. I WILL absolutely utilize her services again when in Hokkaido. You can count on her to deliver a quality experience; every detail will be covered, and your adventure will be spectacular!

Thank you so much for your kind review and spending your precious time for this .It was also my great pleasure to have a happy tour with you all , a wonderful family coming together after a long while . And also I was so impressed that even though you have visited Hokkaido so many times , still you kindly have a sincere curiosity and positive deeper interest in my place , which inspired me a lot to learn more about my place and how to explain the charm of Hokkaido much better. And conversation was also fun to share various opinion and ideas about topics around us, which made me feel we are all the same human being living on this beautiful planet . All members of your family were so kind , intelligent, and kindly showed me their love for my place , was deeply appreciated for me. Thank you for your cooperation to be always positive and smiling even under the cold heavy rain in flower garden. This Amazing tour were absolutely made by you all , beautiful people with lots of love for both nature and people. All the best Kumiko

“Wonderful experience, highly recommended!”
Kumiko is friendly, knowledgeable, and is a pleasure to hang out with! The tour is well-structured, and she offers great explanations and shares interesting bits of knowledge along the way. Kumiko speaks fluent English and our conversations were very engaging and insightful. We really enjoyed learning about the Ainu, seeing the beautiful Hokkaido nature, and to top it off, the wagyu beef restaurant she chose had some of the best food we have ever tried!

Aya N.
Hi! I'm Aya, now based in the Sapporo area from June 2026! After growing up in Hokkaido, I graduated from college in New York and have lived in 7 cities across Japan, Canada, and the United States. Exploring the world allows me to connect with people from diverse backgrounds while sharing Japan through both a local and international perspective. I've also traveled Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America and Latin America, and love learning about history, different story of local people. <My Hosting Style> I love sharing the side of Japan that many visitors never get to see, from local culture and everyday life to hidden food spots and the stories behind them. Whether you are interested in food, nature, culture, art, music, or simply experiencing Japan from a local perspective, I tailor each experience to your interests, mood, personality, and travel style. <My Experience> Over the years, I have guided amazing guests from east to west, especially in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and now Hokkaido. I especially enjoy hosting culturally curious travelers who seek meaningful experiences, authentic local connections, and a deeper understanding of Japan beyond the typical tourist route. My guests often tell me that spending time with me feels more like exploring with a knowledgeable local friend, and many ask me to guide them again on their next journey through Japan. I look forward to hearing from you and helping create a memorable experience in Japan :) P.S. I've lived in Vancouver Canada, Upstate New York, New York City, Tokyo, Osaka, and now the Sapporo area in Hokkaido!
