Hi, I'm Dai, a national licensed tour guide for people from all over the world.
I’m crazy about traveling around the world.
I’ve backpacked in over 150 countries.
So I'm proud of my traveling skills, flexibility and patience that I've ever experienced through my world-traveling.
I do believe one of the most important thing for travelers is to " EXPERIENCE ", such as doing something new, extraordinary and something you've never done before.
Also, I used to work at a hostel in Asakusa, so I'm quite familiar with Asakusa area.
I'd love to help international tourists enjoy their stay in Japan.

Important
My tour is a walking tour using public transportation, mainly Tokyo Metro (Subway).
Tokyo Metro 24-hour Ticket is 600 yen for adults, 300 yen for children.
Please remember that all transportation fees for you and guide are not included in my tour price.
I don’t do the tour using arranged cars and buses.

You can make your own itinerary as you like. Tokyo has many interesting and beautiful places. You can select 5 to 6 places out of these. I can show you around Tokyo as much as possible. By using Tokyo Metro 24-hour Ticket, you can visit anywhere you want. Also, you can learn about Japanese history, culture and lifestyle. And of course, you can enjoy traditional Japanese cuisines, such as Sushi, Soba, Tempura, Ramen and more.
Tokyo Must-See Spots Half-Day Tour
You can make your own itinerary as you like. Tokyo has many interesting and beautiful places. I can show you around Tokyo, maybe 2 or 3 spots of these. Asakusa & Ueno Half-Day Tour
In Asakusa, we will visit Sensoji Temple, Nakamise Shopping Street, Asakusa Shrine and Kappabashi Kitchen Utensils Street. In Ueno, we will visit Ueno Park and Ameyoko Market Streets. You can enjoy traditional Japanese cuisines and buy traditional Japanese souvenirs. Also, you can learn about Japanese history and culture.

“Great first impression of Japan”
We booked a half day with Dai prior to our first day in Japan. We walked the around the exterior grounds of the Imperial Palace, stopped by a market, and toured a Buddhist temple. Dai was very helpful answering our many questions. It was a good day.

“Great guide for Tokyo!”
I had only one full day in Tokio and needed to pack it so to visit most of the interesting places in Tokio, which are too many. And, considering a complexity of excellent metro/subway system along with language issues, it's impossible without a very good guide. That's where Dai as able to make it happened. Thanks to him, we were able to visit all the sites I planned to see and , from him, I had learned souch about history of Japan and local traditions, despite the rainy day. Arigato gozaimasu, Dai!

Since I am one of a few guides who tried virtual tour in Tokyo during pandemic, it was a challenging, but it was definitely a great step and enhanced my guiding skills. I was born and raised in Tokyo. I am a mother so that I'd be glad to welcome families with young children as well. I used to teach Japanese cultures to elementary students from Kindergarten to Grade 6 at local and private elementary schools when I lived in Canada, United states, and New Zealand. My happiest moments with these children were when they look forward to another lesson every week. All lessons were customized and prepared after discussing with each classroom teacher. It was a challenging job, but this experience broaden my horizon and prompted me to become an English tour guide. I have a license of Registered Nurse and a Medical interpreter. I've still worked as a nurse during the off- tourism season so that I've kept a medical back ground. There are some common thinking between Tour guide and Nurse, both jobs are required to put myself into their shoes. I'll make plans considering their physical conditions and will arrange any supports after discussing about the tour. I've already experienced to do several tours for mobility challenged clients who have intractable disease and have a difficulty for a long walking. My Name is Naoya. I was born in Tokyo in 1952. After my graduation from Keio University, I joined a Japanese bank. Mainly I was assigned international business and stayed in London for three years. At the age of 52, I moved to a Japanese manufacturer company and had worked for 11 years. As a personnel manager, I engaged in hiring Indian graduates. Then for two years, I went to Tashkent in Uzbekistan as a JICA senior volunteer. I taught "corporate finance" at Tashkent Financial Institute in English. I got the guide license in 2017, After I came back to Tokyo, I am working as a volunteer guide, especially in Shinjuku. I hope to create special and deep tours in which tourists are interested but by now they were not able to gain access to. For example; Visit to various Universities, Visit to narrow streets in Tokyo, Visit to feel Edo (Now and Then) My hobby is playing the guitar. I hope we are in peace through music. I am also interested in Art, History and cooking. My major subject is economics and finance.
