Hello everyone! My name is Kota.
After graduation from a university in Japan I spent a year in Vancouver, Canada, on a working holiday. While working as a server at a sushi restaurant, I had many opportunities to interact with guests who loved Japan, while also learning about Canadian culture from them. Those experiences became truly meaningful to me, and now I would like to take on that role here in Japan—sharing the beauty of my country with visitors and creating unforgettable memories together.
Tokyo is a world-famous metropolis, but beyond its well-known landmarks, it is full of hidden gems that are less crowded and waiting to be discovered. I would be delighted to explore such places with you and do my very best to make your trip to Japan a wonderful experience.
Since I am originally from Hiroshima, I am also very familiar with Kyoto, Hiroshima, and Osaka. I would be happy to give you helpful advice if you plan to visit those areas. And if our schedules align, I would love to guide you around my hometown Hiroshima, as well as Shiga where I spent my student years, or even Kyoto and Osaka. Please feel free to reach out anytime!
I enjoy watching soccer (especially Manchester United!), and I also like beer and whisky.
I’m really looking forward to meeting you all :)
All tours can be customized for you. Send me a message with your requests!

“Wonderful Introduction to Tokyo and Nikko!”
(This is our full review of all 3 days, with Nikko being day 2.) We had a great experience with Kody and Rene. On our first day, they took us to the Ghibli Museum and the Open Air Architecture Museum. We loved our lunch that day of tempura and soba noodles -- a restaurant that we would not have gone to without our guides. On our second day, we went to Nikko. We stopped at the water fall and toshogu shrine. We had a very nice lunch that day. Going to Nikko and specifically to Toshogu, was something we really wanted to do. We are very grateful that they were able to take us. On our last day Yoshi joined us as Rene was unable to join. He was a nice addition to the group. We went to the old fish market, where Kody was able to explain the different kinds of fish. After that we decided to change our schedule and make our way to the Shibuya crossing. We really appreciated the flexibility. We then went to have sushi at a very nice spot that we enjoyed. We visited one last shrine and then had coffee before we finished our tour. Overall, they always were punctual and polite. They were able to explain everyday Japanese life. We also thought having a second person in the car was a plus, because, when the driver couldn't find a parking place, we were still able to get out of the car and do what we have to do. We also appreciated that Kody took us to very cute and cozy coffee shops. Good coffee and nice people. Overall we had a very lovely experience. We recognize that we were a group of three with different interests, and some of us would have appreciated more history of Tokyo as this was our first visit, however, we could have also been vocal about that interest and we were not. We will definitely be recommending Kody to everyone else we know who is visiting Tokyo!

Thank you so much for your warm and wonderful review. Although our three days together seemed long, the time truly flew by. We’re very happy that you chose our tour to spend part of your family’s time in Tokyo with us. There may have been moments when the rain or traffic caused some inconvenience, but we truly appreciate how kind and understanding you were throughout. We hope you continue to enjoy the rest of your time in Japan, and we look forward to crossing paths again someday. Kody, Rene, and Yoshi

“Awesome and Engaging Experience ”
We couldn't have asked for and gotten a better guide. All the way from engaging him a week before the tour, Kota was very responsive and engaging... asking questions to better understand the interest of my parents as he adjusted the itinerary to suit their preferences, interests and limitations. Kota is warm, responsive and engaging, and my parents had a great time during the personalised tour that he worked out for them. During the tour, he was very flexible in making adjustments and accomodations even at the last minute. Would highly recommend him without hesitation!

Thank you so much for your kind words. I truly had a wonderful time as well! Thanks to both of you — so kind, calm, and great conversationalists — every moment became a special and unforgettable memory for me. I’ll be looking forward to seeing you again, including Kelvin, when you visit Japan next time. Kody
