About Tour Guide Choyo T.
I was born in Osaka and spent my life there until I graduated from university. Thereafter, I moved from Osaka to Yokohama to find employment in the City of Yokohama, and worked there as a city official for more than 30 years. In the City of Yokohama, I was mainly in charge of city planning and international exchange programs with foreign cities, both of which were instrumental for me to expand perspective to know Japan. Now, after nearly ten years' guide experience, I still continue the efforts to become a good guide.

One Day Trip to Know All about Tokyo
You will be able to know by this tour what Tokyo is all about. Two areas will be taken up for the tour. One area formed around Tokyo station, Marunouchi business area, including the area covering Asakusa & Nakamise and Tokyo Imperial East Garden will take you back to old days of Tokyo, and another area located in and around of Shinjuku including Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office Building, Omotesando and Shibuya will show you the new aspect of Tokyo.
Welcome to the Exotic City, Yokohama
Since the restoration to change Japan to one of the modern states occurred in 1868, the port city of Yokohama played an important role to lead Japan in the field of business as well as in adoption of western culture. Silk trade conducted through Yokohama port brought enormous wealth to Japan. Yokohama has now become the second largest city in Japan, but the history so far has been so turbulent.
The town nestled in a rigorous atmosphere
The Kamakura Shogunate was established in the contemporary Kamakura in 1192 by Minamoto-no-Yoritomo of Genji clan. It was the beginning of the samurai society in Japan. Yoritomo was not only competent in consolidating samurais roaming here and there looking for a master, but also in administrating of any entity. Hojo family, the successor of Yoritomo was also the same case. They not only put the emphasis on keeping up the regime, but also encouraged the Zen sect of Buddhism widely.
Nikko World Heritage to show the glory of Tokugawa Shogunate
Nikko was designated as a world heritage in 1999. The historical source of Nikko goes back to 8 century when Buddhist priest named Shodo exserted tremendous efforts to construct a temple to worship the three deities of thousands-armed Kannon, Amitabha and Horse-headed Kannon, with each deity believed to reside in the mountains located in the north of Nikko, such as Nantai-san, Nyoho-san and Taro-yama. His enthusiastic efforts finally led to the construction of Toshogu shrine of Tokugawa.

Tokyo Metropolitan is composed of 23 wards. Each one is completely different with each other subject to the historical background as well as locational conditions. This time, focusing on Bunkyo ward, we will try to go deeper into Tokyo and come into contact with much more detailed information which is indigenous to the area. Bunkyo means center of culture.

“Exceptional Tour Guide”
Mr. Choyo T. was an awesome guide! He was very professional, very friendly, and very patient with us. There was no hurry to get through our set schedule. Instead he moved at our pace. And he was ever mindful of our needs. Constantly checking if we were ok. We visited a few of the tourist hotspots in Tokyo and he was very knowledgeable in sharing the history of each place. We had a great day with Mr. Tanaka and would highly recommend him!

I think the guide do not have sufficient knowledge on the place we are visiting and also the route. It is a waste of my time and should not be allowed to guide to places where he is not familiar. If he need to read the information given at the place of interest, I also can read and I don't need his service. TQ

Thank you for your review about our two days tour of Nagano. I was careless about skipping the information of Ueda castle to you. It is a long story, but I should have done. And one more, I and my driver feel deeply sorry for being delayed in arriving at the hotel because of making wrong choice of the route on the way back to the hotel.
