Japan

Hi! I am Macky. I am glad to accompany you on your tour to Japan and show you the beauty and experiences Japan has to offer. I am an English tour guide and I have guided many foreign visitors around Kamakura, Nikko, Mt. Fuji and Hakone. I love sightseeing myself and I enjoy food and wine… I have been interested in intercultural exchanges and have visited many places locally and overseas alike. I have strong passion in Japanese history, culture, and geography. More than just simply showing you the stunning beauty of the places, I love to impart the cultural and historical value of each sightseeing spot. The place I can guide tourists best is Kamakura which has major shrines and temples with historical and religious details. It can be fun not only to explore Kamakura from historical point of view but also experience various activities such as hiking, rental kimono-clad walking, and learning carving technique as well as soba noodle preparation. I am flexible. My guide is unique and comprehensive. If you want to make the most out of your trip, I can show you around and make you experience Japan to the fullest. I can accommodate the tour according to your needs and preferences giving you a hassle-free, enjoyable and memorable tour. I can also take you to non tourism places such as various factory tours in Yokohama and Kawasaki City.

Shizuoka Tour Guide - Yumiko K.

Yumiko K.

Japan

Hello, I am Yumiko, a government licensed tour guide. I was born and raised in Aichi prefecture. I have lived in Gotemba City at the foot of Mt. Fuji for over 35 years since I moved from Tokyo. Needless to say, Mt. Fuji is a symbol of Japan. It shows many faces depending on the seasons and time of the day. Many tourists visit here to see Mt. Fuji from home and abroad every year. Gotemba is located halfway between Hakone and Fuji five lakes area. And it is easily accessible from Tokyo. You can come to Gotemba from Shinjuku in Tokyo by Odakyu highway bus or Odakyu limited express train without any transfers. Please visit attractive sightseeing spots in Gotemba, such as Chichibunomiya Memorial Park, Tokino Sumika and Gotemba Premium Outlets, the biggest outlet mall in Japan. I love eating, chatting, traveling abroad and meeting people. And I enjoy tea ceremony and ballroom dancing. I would be happy if I could show you around Gotemba and Hakone area. I am looking forward to seeing you soon!

Shizuoka Tour Reviews

Tea and Views

This is our second tour with Hiroyo, and truly enjoyed this in a different way! Hiroyo is highly knowledgeable on everything about Japanese tea, so if you love tea she is the perfect guide. Understanding the different tea varieties, seeing the tea farm and consuming tea from farm to cup is genuinely a beautiful experience. If you have not seen Mt Fuji from the Shizuoka side, Nihondaira is the place! Lovely tour with tea, sacred space with immense significance to Japan and breathtaking views. Thank you Hiroyo!

Thank you so much for another day tour here in Shizuoka! There are many attractions here and it is always my great pleasure to welcome you. Shizuoka is a must visit for tea lovers and for a great fan of Shogun as well! A view of Mt. Fuji was perfect during your stay in the beginning of December. If you have another opportunity to visit here, I’ll offer you a different nice experience! Thank you again and best wishes, Hiroyo

Tea and Handicraft

Had a wonderful time with Hiroyo on this wonderful, relaxing and meaningful tour! If you love tea and making things, this is the perfect tour. Hiroyo is a warm, very personable and patient guide who looks after you well. Shizuoka is lovely, not overcrowded with tourists and offer an authentic Japanese experience that is unique to this region with the occasional nice views of Mt Fuji even! This tour and Hiroyo is highly recommended. Thank you for looking after us, Hiroyo!

Special customized tour in Izu area

Shizuoka
6 hours

Customized

Interesting and unique.

Did a customized tour based on my request. 1. Picking mandarin orange at a farm - quite unique and interesting experience 2. Making wasabizuke - interesting experience but I was disappointed at not being able to pick the wasabi as it wasn't in season. 3. Lunch - Great recommendation 4. Mt Fuji viewing - this was a blank card before the tour. It wasn't plan before the tour and will play according to the time and location. Really showcase her experience and knowledge of the area to be able to recommend what to do after we are done with lunch on the spot.

Thank you for an excellent review. I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed very much for each experience. It was a good season for picking mandarine oranges. Also, you were so lucky to see a view of Mt.Fuji at Darumayama observation. I appreciate your driving a car smoothly.
