Traditional and Modern One-day Tour in Tokyo
Best recommended tour for the first-time visitor to Tokyo. Tokyo is a unique city with various traditional and contemporary attractions. Let’s create your personalized time in Tokyo by discussing the places you want to visit. You should plan a tour of different sites, such as Kamakura and Hakone, along with my other plan. I am based in Tokyo, but I would happily arrange your tour.

Visit Kamakura, the 13th century capital of Japan!
Kamakura served as Japan's capital from the late 12th century, following the Heian period in Kyoto. You can enjoy the Samurai—time temples and shrines with the Big Buddha. In addition, we will visit the Hase-Temple and the Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine.

Let's explore the traditional and modern sides of Tokyo.
I don't know if you think something is different in Japan, but I suppose it is because it is based on a unique discipline called Shinto. Let's explore what makes Japan unique by visiting several unique sites in Tokyo. This trip includes several sites you feel are unique, and I am happy to explain what makes Japan different from Western cultures. I am based in Tokyo, but I am happy to arrange any kind of tour even to Kyoto and Nara. Just contact me for further details!

One-day Scenic Tour to Hakone from Tokyo
Let's enjoy the scenic beauty at Hakone Hakone, a scenic site, is only 1 hour away from Tokyo by train. It is also a popular spot for Tokyoites to spend a weekend or one-day trip. Why don’t you spend your free time at Hakone, where you can enjoy Lake Ashinoko and a volcano in a day? It is highly recommended to book with my other tour plan, "Traditional and Modern One-day Tour in Tokyo," as you can fully enjoy your Tokyo stay within a limited time.

“Amazing Day in Tokyo with Atsushi K!”
We recently took a guided tour with Atsushi K in Tokyo and it was perfect! We had a unique request to find the home of my sister-in-law's family. He located it with no problem and we were able to leave a package for the family. Atsushi was extremely knowledgeable and designed an itinerary that included every site that we requested and additional points of interest that we had not thought of. We never felt rushed but had all the time we wanted at each attraction. (We especially loved the fish market!) His English was perfect and we enjoyed his company. We would highly recommend him as a guide for any group. Having only one day in Tokyo, we felt that we had an excellent overview and expanded understanding of that beautiful city and the Japanese culture. Thank you, Atsushi!!!!!

“Great knowledge, flexible and an expert at what he does.”
Atsushi was a great guide. We had some different needs as we wanted to get familiar with the train system, pick up some pre purchased train tickets and see some essentials of Tokyo if that was possible within a 4hr window. Atsushi wove together an experience that got us familiar with the train system and etiquette, helped us pick up tickets at Tokyo Station, wander through the gardens of the Imperial Palace and visit the major Shinto Shrine before a visit to madness of Shibuyu Crossing and a safe delivery to our return train. What was even better was that he managed to include some essential insights into the Japanese culture, traditions and psyche during those experiences without making it sound like a lecture tour. We appreciated his ability to weave all of that together with the added complication of a rainy day. A great experience put together by an expert.

“Hitting the highlights”
We booked Atsushi for a full day tour of Tokyo's big tourist sites on our first full day in Japan and Tokyo. He proved to be very a knowledgeable, amiable and thoughtful guide with an excellent dry sense of humor. English is excellent. In addition to seeing the top sites (like Meiji Shrine), Atsushi gave us invaluable "101" knowledge on how to effectively navigate Tokyo. Would highly recommend.

Yacco M.
Hi, I’m Yacco, a friendly and passionate local guide. I was born and raised in Shizuoka and have lived in Yokohama for over 30 years. For the past several years, I’ve been guiding international visitors in Kamakura, Yokohama, and Tokyo as a volunteer, helping them discover the rich history, culture, and hidden charm of these unique cities. Traveling abroad creates once-in-a-lifetime memories, and I would love for you to fully experience the beauty and spirit of my favorite towns. I not only enjoy showing historical and modern landmarks, but also love introducing quiet backstreets, seasonal flowers, cozy cafés, and delicious local food that reflect the charm of everyday life. What I enjoy most is comparing Japanese traditions with my guests’ own cultures and histories—these conversations often lead to deep and inspiring exchanges. As your guide, I’m happy to customize tours based on your interests, whether you’re seeking unique experiences, historical insights, or local flavors. Let’s walk, talk, and create unforgettable memories together!
