About Tour Guide Midori N.
Hello, welcome to my page! My name is Midori which means GREEN in Japanese. You can call me Midori or Green. I grew up and have lived all my life in Yamanashi Prefecture where Mt. Fuji is and it is only 2 hours bus riding from Tokyo.
In my spare time, I hike and play badminton. I also like spending time with my two cats in my free time.
I became a National Licensed Tour Guide in 2014, but I started working as a guide mainly in 2023. I worked for an English conversation school in Japan for 23 years and was teaching English and also helping Japanese students to become better English speakers.
I realize that teaching and guiding are similar because the essential thing in both is that I could entertain people and I can respond to their requests.
When I was in my 20s, I visited many countries. There I had locals or other tourists help me a lot, which made my time unforgettable. Therefore, as a guide, I would really like to assist your trip so that you can have a blast without inconvenience in Japan.
In addition, in my tour, I would like to talk about not only how beautiful Mt.Fuji is but also how historical and attractive it is.

“An amazing day with Midori around Mt Fuji!”
Absolutely amazing experience with our private tour guide, Midori! From start to finish, the entire day was pure magic. We visited Lake Kawaguchiko, the peaceful Fujiyoshida Sengen Shrine, and the charming Oshino Hakkai ponds—each location more beautiful than the last, and all framed by stunning, crystal-clear views of Mount Fuji. Midori, a knowledgeable local resident, brought each spot to life with her deep understanding of the area’s history, culture, and natural beauty. She was incredibly accommodating, happily customizing the itinerary to fit our interests and pace. We even stopped for an authentic ramen lunch at a local favorite—absolutely delicious and a perfect mid-day break! What truly made the day unforgettable was Midori herself. She was kind, polite, and an absolute joy to spend time with. Her warm personality and attention to detail made us feel like we were exploring with a good friend rather than just a guide. We feel so lucky to have had both perfect weather and the perfect guide. “Visit of Mount Fuji ”
Midori’s preparation of the tour was thorough and made sure that we were all familiar with the itenary for the day ahead. The way she explained mt fuji’s history was easy to understand entertaining, allowing us to better comprehend and appreciate the japanese culture. Lastly, Midori was friendly and approachable and often engage in small talks with us, allowing us to feel comfortable. Overall, Midori was excellent in allowing us to have a memorable experience in mt fuji that we, otherwise, would not be able to enjoy without her.

My tours might be better with people who LOVE TO WALK, have STAMINA and keen to learn about the culture.
