About Tour Guide Midori N.
Hello, welcome to my page! My name is Midori which means GREEN in Japanese. You can call me Midori or Green. I grew up and have lived all my life in Yamanashi Prefecture where Mt. Fuji is and it is only 2 hours bus riding from Tokyo.
In my spare time, I hike and play badminton. I also like spending time with my two cats in my free time.
I became a National Licensed Tour Guide in 2014, but I started working as a guide mainly in 2023. I worked for an English conversation school in Japan for 23 years and was teaching English and also helping Japanese students to become better English speakers.
I realize that teaching and guiding are similar because the essential thing in both is that I could entertain people and I can respond to their requests.
When I was in my 20s, I visited many countries. There I had locals or other tourists help me a lot, which made my time unforgettable. Therefore, as a guide, I would really like to assist your trip so that you can have a blast without inconvenience in Japan.
In addition, in my tour, I would like to talk about not only how beautiful Mt.Fuji is but also how historical and attractive it is.
If you are interested in my tour, please feel free to contact me. You can choose my fixed tour or if you wish, I can customize and make a perfect itinerary based on your requests.
Let’s make an awesome trip together at the foot of Mt. Fuji!
I am looking forward to seeing you soon.

“Customised Mt Fuji tour”
We started the tour much earlier to avoid the tourist mass. Midori was at the agreed location 20minutes earlier. We visited 3 sites and had lunch. The tour went exceptionally smooth. She is very knowledgeable and caring. This is one highlight that will stand out in our visit to japan.

Although I was a bit worried about the weather, we were lucky to begin the day with a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji. Thank you as well for your interest and for listening so attentively to my explanations. I truly had a wonderful time guiding you. Again, I appreciate your kind feedback. I hope you continue to enjoy exploring Japan.

“Stunning hike at Mt Fuji”
Midori was an attentive guide. She planned and coordinated our entire 8 hour day taking into account what we wanted to see and do and included our particular food preferences (Hoto Noodles!). We wish we had her on more of our trip to keep things running smooth and seamlessly.

Feel Great Nature of Mt.Fuji & Mystical Forest Aokigahara
The Fuji Five Lakes and the Aokigahara Forest are fascinating natural wonders created by Mt.Fuji. They remain untouched nature sceneries. They are on the north side of the mountain, in Nation Park of Japan, and are only 2 hours away from Tokyo. It is the ideal place to purify mind and body in the tranquility of nature. We can also arrange other sight seeing spots including Arakurayama Sengen Shrine, Ashikawa Village, Ide Sake Brewery.. etc up to your requests.

[May-November] Mt.Fuji 5th station, a short hike of Ochudo & Okuniwa
The Ochudo, also known as Middle Road, was a special trail for ascetic practitioners that circled Mt.Fuji at the level of the fifth station. The trail is adorned by beautiful flora such as Japanese larch, Rhododendron, and Lingonberry and offers a majestic view of Mt.Fuji. The trail continues to Okuniwa, as Inner Garden which used to be a lateral crater. As it is named, pine trees and volcanic rocks create artistic landscapes by all nature.
