Meeting Point
Mt. Fuji Station (Fujisan Station) for Fujikyu Railway
- As the station is small and has only one gate, you won't get lost. We can meet at the gate or in front of the building. If you want to start another main station called Kawaguchiko, that is fine with me as well. If you come from Tokyo on the day, I can suggest more convenient station to meet.
Mt.Fuji station
We will take a train to Shimoyoshida Station (about 5min)
Chureito (Five Pagoda) - Famous Mt. Fuji view spot with Five Pagoda.
Duration - about 1hour
5–10-minute walk from the station.
There are 398 steps to the observatory which you can see both Mt.Fuji view & Five pagoda, so it can be good exercise.
Shimoyoshida station (Moving)
From Shimoyoshida station to Mt. Fuji station by train
From Mt. Fuji station to Oshino Hakkai by bus
(Total: 30min)
Oshino Hakkai- 8 Ponds with Mt. Fuji Spring Water & Lunch
Duration including lunch time : about 2hours
It is famous for spring water from Mt. Fuji and Mt. Fuji view spot with thatched roof houses. As there are some souvenir shops, you can get goods of Mt. Fuji.
Lunch Time
Soba, buckwheat noodles, is famous in this area, so I can take you to either Soba restaurant or Japanese restaurant which has wider menu.
Taking a bus to get to Kitaguchi Hongu Sengen Shrine ( Jinjya)
About 10min
Kitaguchi Hongu Sengen Shrine (Jinjya)- Breathtaking beautiful & sacred Shrine
Duration: about 1hour
The shrine is very beautiful and mysterious. It has been associated with Mt. Fuji since ancient times. It is very important shrine for Mt. Fuji in terms of both climbing and praying.
Taking a bus to go back to Mt.Fuji station (about 10min)
Due to a bus delay, when the schedule is behind, it is another choice to go back to the station on foot. (about 25min/2km)
The way is also deeply related with Mt. Fuji, so it is fun to walk there.

・If the weather forecast predicts heavy rain or weather warning on the
day of the tour, you can either have the tour with a different itinerary
or you can cancel the tour and get your money back.

About Tour Guide Midori N.
Hello, welcome to my page! My name is Midori which means GREEN in Japanese. You can call me Midori or Green. I grew up and have lived all my life in Yamanashi Prefecture where Mt. Fuji is and it is only 2 hours bus riding from Tokyo.
In my spare time, I hike and play badminton. I also like spending time with my two cats in my free time.
I became a National Licensed Tour Guide in 2014, but I started working as a guide mainly in 2023. I worked for an English conversation school in Japan for 23 years and was teaching English and also helping Japanese students to become better English speakers.
I realize that teaching and guiding are similar because the essential thing in both is that I could entertain people and I can respond to their requests.
When I was in my 20s, I visited many countries. There I had locals or other tourists help me a lot, which made my time unforgettable. Therefore, as a guide, I would really like to assist your trip so that you can have a blast without inconvenience in Japan.
In addition, in my tour, I would like to talk about not only how beautiful Mt.Fuji is but also how historical and attractive it is.
