“Amazing Day and tour! ”

The driver was fabulous!! We had an amazing day. Definitely would recommend. I visit Japan 4 times a year for work, This visit I’m here for pleasure and brought 8 friends. We hired the private transport for the day. It saved a lot of time we would have wasted looking for the correct train, bus, subway.. we were able to visit Hakone and the sightseeing spots all in 8 hours including an hour lunch and shopping.

“Disappointing”

Booked a car for my group of 12 pax. Started the journey fine. The drivers were hospitable and friendly. The issue occurred when we reached the area. Apparently, our trip coincided with the Mt. Fuji Marathon and there were lots of road closures. All the roads leading to the various spots in the itinerary were pretty much affected. At one point, our car was just waiting in traffic for an estimated hour. We didn't want the trip to be a total bust so we asked if we could take pictures of the nearby Kawaguchiko Lake. They accommodated by opening the car door for us to take pictures from inside. Before we knew it, it was already lunch time. Our whole morning was just stuck in traffic. Although the disruption wasn't the fault of the company, I'm highly disappointed that they themselves were not informed about a major event happening at the area where they provide their services. If they had told us even one day before that there would be road closures affecting our trip, we would gladly have come up with alternative solutions. I guess my question is: How are you offering your services for Mt. Fuji sightseeing area but unaware of a major event taking place there? After lunch, My sister and I accompanied my mother to the doctors as there was a medical emergency. From what I heard from the rest of my family, the drivers were friendly and accommodating but had no alternative plans on their own. I was told at one point that they just spent their time waiting at the carpark until my family suggested a location. In conclusion, although the company provided you with the itinerary and transport, it is on you to ensure that there are no disruptions to your trip. Should there be a disruption, it is on you to come up with an alternative plan. 2 stars because they were accommodating but lack initiative in effort, even if this may have been a restriction placed by their company.

“A great day with a great driver!”

Our driver (Taka san) was wonderful and certainly had good knowledge about the areas. It was such a great day and all of us enjoyed our day in Kyoto!
