About Tour Guide Yuki K.
I was born and grew up in Yokohama. I used to work in Tokyo for more than 20 years. I became the National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter in English in 2013. At first, I had attended a volunteer group which provided a tour of the Imperial Palace East Gardens until 2015. I guided more than fifty times in the garden as a volunteer and studied about Japanese history and culture. Based on this experience, I became a tour guide of this online site in 2015.
Since then, I have guided more than 500 tours in Tokyo as well as Yokohama, Kamakura, Hakone, Kyoto, Nikko, etc., while improving my tours. My tours are very flexible and I always do my best to customize them according to the interests of my guests. I studied about the places and will provide you knowledge to appreciate them deeper than just visiting there by yourself or a member of big group tours. I like foods and I know many restaurants which provide typical Japanese lunch with reasonable price without waiting too long. This tour is arranged based on my experience, more than 100 times. If we can expect a view of Mt. Fuji from the live camera, I will take you to the best places to view it as early as possible. Where you can enjoy the views without waiting a long time. If not, I will take you to other popular places you can enjoy without the mountain, expecting the view at a later part of the tour. Hakone is famous for hot spring baths; you can try a public or private one if you want by extending the tour time.

Lake Kawaguchi is the most popular place to view Mt. Fuji. I will take you to Arakurayama Park, which is the most popular place to take the picture of Mt. Fuji with the Pagoda. We will take a direct express train from Shinjuku in Tokyo to Lake Kawaguchi to avoid the traffic jam by a highway bus. The possibility of viewing Mt. Fuji is shown in the photo. If we can't see the mountain, I would recommend visiting Oshino Hakkai and Kimono Museum in the following general itinerary.

Dear Kirk, Thank you for your review; it is short but impressive. Everything went better than the itinerary. We met at the designated spot at the airport while texting each other with phones. We could barely visit the Imperial Palace when a staff was calling it a day. Then, we went to Tokyo Skytree Observatory to enjoy the night view of the illuminations of Tokyo. Dear Eugene, Thank you for your review. We visited Fushimi Shrine, Sanjusangen-do Temple, Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and walked to Gion. Kiyomizu-dera was very busy with tourists. “Like Touring with a Dear Friend: A Delightful Day in Kamakura”
We had the absolute best day exploring Kamakura with our wonderful guide, Yuki! From the moment we met, he was completely punctual and took care of every single travel detail, making the entire trip totally seamless and stress-free. He arranged Green Car train seats for us, which made for an exceptionally comfortable and pleasant ride out of the city. Once in Kamakura, he easily navigated the local buses and trolley-routes and connections we never would have figured out on our own. He selected a fantastic local lunch spot and helped us order delicious, traditional Japanese dishes. Throughout the day, he answered all of our questions, sharing rich histories and teaching us the meaningful rituals at each temple we visited. He even patiently helped me practice a few Japanese words and phrases! Blessed with perfect weather, the day moved at a delightfully easy, unhurried pace. His quiet, gentle, and easygoing personality put us instantly at ease, and we shared plenty of good laughs together. We loved every minute of our day and cannot recommend him highly enough!
