About Tour Guide Yuki K.

I was born and grew up in Yokohama. I used to work in Tokyo for more than 20 years. I became the National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter in English in 2013. At first, I had attended a volunteer group which provided a tour of the Imperial Palace East Gardens until 2015. I guided more than fifty times in the garden as a volunteer and studied about Japanese history and culture. Based on this experience, I became a tour guide of this online site in 2015.

Since then, I have guided more than 500 tours in Tokyo as well as Yokohama, Kamakura, Hakone, Kyoto, Nikko, etc., while improving my tours. My tours are very flexible and I always do my best to customize them according to the interests of my guests. I studied about the places and will provide you knowledge to appreciate them more deeply than just visiting there by yourself or a member of group tours. I like foods and I know many restaurants which provide typical Japanese lunch with reasonable price without waiting too long. Therefore, I am sure that I can provide you the best tours customized to your interests. It will be my great pleasure to help you to enjoy your stay in Japan. So please be my guest!!

One day Door to Door tour of Kyoto from Tokyo

Tokyo

This tour is for those who want to visit Kyoto and return to Tokyo within a day. You can't use the JR Pass for this tour due to its restrictions. You can choose one route from the list bellow. 1. Miyabi route (Most popular places) 2. Golden route (Most scenic places) 3. History route (Most quiet and historical places)

Mt. Fuji viewing tour from Lake Kawaguchicover image

Mt. Fuji viewing tour from Lake Kawaguchi

Mount Fuji
10 hours 30 min

Lake Kawaguchi is the most popular place to view Mt. Fuji. I will take you to Arakurayama Park, which is the most popular place to take the picture of Mt. Fuji with the Pagoda. We will take a direct express train from Shinjuku in Tokyo to Lake Kawaguchi to avoid the traffic jam by a highway bus. The possibility of viewing Mt. Fuji is shown in the photo. If we can't see the mountain, I would recommend Oshino Hakkai and Aokigawara forest in the following general itinerary.

Excellent Tokyo tour either Yuki!

My husband and I had the pleasure of touring with Yuki today. We explored the lovely Imperial Palace East Gardens, the Fukagawa Edo Museum, enjoyed a fabulous sushi lunch, the gorgeous Kiyosumi Gardens, and the Hie Shrine. Yuki was especially knowledgeable about the Imperial Palace East gardens. We asked him many questions all day, and he proved patient and knowledgeable. We learned a lot and would definitely recommend Yuki!

Dear Janet Thank you very much for writing such a good review of my tour. You are the perfect guests for the historical places we visited today. I'm glad if you like the sushi place I found recently. They serve very good fish from Toyosu, the new whole sale market, moved from Tsukiji. Please enjoy your stay in Japan. Yuki

Haneda Airport Service with Yuki K.

Hiring Yuki to assist us upon arrival at Haneda Airport was a great decision for our first trip to Tokyo. Navigating the transit system seemed overwhelming, but Yuki made everything smooth and stress-free. He met us at the airport, helped us purchase Suica cards, assisted with currency exchange, and patiently explained the train system. His professionalism, politeness, and thorough guidance ensured we got to our hotel with ease. It was a wonderful way to start our Tokyo adventure without any stress. Highly recommend Yuki’s services!

Dear Margo Thank you for your review. I'm glad if my service helped you to settle you down at your hotel late at night. Your cooperation for our online communication and searching your location at the airport made it easier for me to meet you. Please enjoy your travel in Japan. Yuki

Excellent way to start our Japan trip

Yuki was an exceptional guide! He met us at Haneda Airport and provided valuable tips that made our transportation during our trip so much easier. Yuki shared insights we would never have figured out on our own - starting with a convenient door-to-door transfer from the airport to our hotel that saved us $50 USD compared to an Uber or taxi. Yuki was also incredibly helpful in setting us up with transit cards apps, which turned out to be the most useful advice we received. Yuki mapped out the logistics for our 10-day, 4-city trip, which involved the various train systems in Japan. Thanks to Yuki’s services, everything went smoothly - allowing us to navigate Japan's busy and complex transit system with ease!

Hello, I'm Hiroshi. I am a National Government Licensed Tour Guide Interpreter in English. I have got a master's degree in Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the U.S. I have been living in a city of Fujisawa, which is the city next to Kamakura, for more than 20 years, and also lived in Kamakura for more than 10 years. In addition to Kamakura, I can also guide Tokyo, Yokohama, Hakone, Nikko, etc. because I have visited many places in Kanto area. For example, in Tokyo I can show you around the sightseeing spots such as Asakusa, Tsukiji, Imperial Palace, Meiji Shrine, Tokyo Skytree, etc. I like baseball and used to play baseball, but now enjoy watching professional baseball games. And I like watching Rakugo, Japanese traditional story-telling performance. Of course, I also like travelling very much, and am interested in Japanese culture and history. Japan

Born and bred in Tokyo I am still living in the suburbs of Tokyo. I spent several years in the U.S. and the UK and wanted to show international visitors around Japan in return for the hospitality I had received in foreign countries. After coming back from the UK, I obtained the qualification of the National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter. I can guide guests to every corner of Tokyo including areas off the beaten track. As a history fan I can tell you a historical episode behind the scenes. From a local perspective I can explain how we Japanese are getting along. Since I have science and technology backgrounds, I can give you a tour of scientific or technical things as well..

Japan

I’ve called Japan home for seven years, embracing everything from Tokyo’s vibrant urban energy to the tranquillity of the countryside. Before becoming a guide, I explored Tokyo like a curious long-term traveller, uncovering unusual temples, quirky landmarks, hidden backstreets, local live music venues, rural mountain villages, and one-of-a-kind cultural gems. My passion lies in crafting immersive journeys that dive deep into Japan’s heart, sparking a sense of wonder and escape that makes travellers feel worlds away from home. I’m excited to guide you through the Tokyo labyrinth. This city is endlessly fascinating—so layered and dynamic that even with a lifetime here, you’d only scratch the surface. I’ll show you how to navigate it like a local, as mastering the transport system isn’t as tricky as it seems, and I’ll help you gain the confidence to explore Tokyo on your own while we focus on the city’s hidden treasures. Together, we can visit parts of Tokyo most travellers overlook—the nostalgic charm of the Shitamachi, the hustle of salaryman districts, the neon-lit buzz of cyber Tokyo, and tranquil local power spots. Let’s discover the city’s hidden depths and create memories that will last a lifetime!
