About Tour Guide Yacco M.
Hi, I’m Yacco, a friendly and passionate local guide. I was born and raised in Shizuoka and have lived in Yokohama for over 30 years. For the past several years, I’ve been guiding international visitors in Kamakura, Yokohama, and Tokyo as a volunteer, helping them discover the rich history, culture, and hidden charm of these unique cities.
Traveling abroad creates once-in-a-lifetime memories, and I would love for you to fully experience the beauty and spirit of my favorite towns.
I not only enjoy showing historical and modern landmarks, but also love introducing quiet backstreets, seasonal flowers, cozy cafés, and delicious local food that reflect the charm of everyday life. What I enjoy most is comparing Japanese traditions with my guests’ own cultures and histories—these conversations often lead to deep and inspiring exchanges.
As your guide, I’m happy to customize tours based on your interests, whether you’re seeking unique experiences, historical insights, or local flavors. Let’s walk, talk, and create unforgettable memories together!

“Amazing tour with Yacco ”
We had the best time with Yacco in Kamakura. She is so thoughtful and caring and put together the best itinerary for our family and arranged all the reservations needed ahead of time. It is obvious she loves having visitors and tailoring a program for their needs and desires. She taught us so much about Kamakura, history in Japan, and also about Japanese culture, religion, and tea ceremonies. This was definitely a highlight of our time in Japan and we HIGHLY recommend Yacco to others wanting to get the most from a trip to Kamakura!

Thank you very much for your heartwarming review, Steven-san! Although our original tour had to be canceled because of the typhoon, I was truly delighted that you booked with me again. It was a great pleasure to show my beloved Kamakura to your wonderful family, including your impressive sons. Being able to share the beauty of Kamakura during the hydrangea season with you all made it a very special and memorable day for me as well. Thank you for your curiosity and kindness throughout the day. I enjoyed every moment we spent together. I wish you and your family all the best. Domo arigatou gozaimashita! Yacco

Thank you very much for your kind review, Indra-san. I was also surprised by the long line at the bamboo temple today; however, seeing how the bamboo grows gave us a wonderful sense of energy. I’m so glad we could enjoy a peaceful matcha experience in such a tranquil setting. Thanks to you, I was also able to discover places connected to the friendship between Japan and your home country that I had not known before, and I truly had a wonderful time. I sincerely hope you continue to have a wonderful journey. Thank you again. Yacco
