Renting a car (rental not included) we'll reach the Old Appian road, the Park of the Acqueducts and the Catacombs. Later we'll reach the pictoresque village of Castelgandolfo, summer residence of the Popes: amazing panorama, great local wine and food!
Hotel
Depending on the Hotel location (if within or outside the Traffic Restricted Aera) I’ll come with the rented car or we’ll have to reach the closest car rental
On the way we’ll pass by the Circus Maximus, the Palatine Hill (Imperial Palaces), the Thermal Baths of Caracalla, Saint John Lateran, the Coloseum, the Aurelian Walls
The visit is guided by someone from the staff of the Vatican
We’re going to see the Imperial Palace of Maxentius (open only in the morning), the Tomb of Cecilia Metella, the Castrum Caetani
Here some four Acqueducts of different ages meet and can be walked on and by. On the way we'll pass by the outstanding Villa dei Quintili
Here we’ll have the opportunity of doing a wine tasting (not included) and, depending on the Vatican schedule, enter the Apostolic Palace for a very interesting visit. We’ll also have the chance of trying some of the very good local Porchetta
If guests require we can reach the shore of the Alban lake and enjoy some local very good street or finger food (cheese, salami, prosciutto, porchetta and, of course, local wine), or Ariccia, famous for the local "Fraschette" (very popular family owned Trattorias: from Ariccia comes most part of the Porchetta sold all over Lazio). In this case add one extra hour to the basic cost of the tour
As per departure depending on the Hotel location (if within or outside the Traffic Restricted Aera) I’ll drive you back to the Hotel with the rented car or we’ll have to drop the car by the car rental
Hotel or car rental
Guide fee, entrance to one of the Catacombs, entrance to Maxentius Imperial Palace (mornings only).
Car rental, highways, parkings, gasoline, meals, souvenir. An avarage cost for one day car rental including all costs (Car rental, unlimited mileage, highways, parkings, gasoline, taxes and administrative fees) goes from 450 US Dollars (for a 5 seater car) to 750 Us Dollars (for a Minivan). Once I know the number of passengers I’ll check with the car rental and inform you. In case this can be paid through Gowithguide customer service (administrative fee included) or, saving some money, directly on the spot
The catacombs are religious areas therefore require modest attire. The Apostolic Palace of Castelgandolfo is not always open to the public: once I'll get your booking I'll check if the visit is feasable or not.
For Tours outside Rome, example Wine Tours in Umbria or to the Alban Hills (Frascati, Castelgandolfo, etc) or Tour of Orvieto and Assisi, I can rent a car and be both driver and guide

Rome: Colosseum, Forum, Palatine Hill, Circus Maximus
“Amazing guide with stunning knowledge and excellent tour plan!”
Sergio took us on a comprehensive and intimate tour of the Forum and Colosseum. His plan included a visit to the beautiful house of Augustus and a visit to the area underneath the Colosseum where the gladiators and animals were kept. His knowledge of history and the enthusiasm with which he shared his passion for the city was the perfect start for our vacation. Even though I have studied Roman history, Sergio helped bring the jumble of facts in my head to life. He was a superb guide and a delight to spend the afternoon with -- he even sent us in the right direction to find a lovely lunch!

“Professional & Fun”
Amazing guide full of energy and wisdom. We were able to see all the requested locations in Rome and got to see the Independence Day Parade and Italy's President. Sergio took us to try the best Ice Creme ever, the pizza was amazing too. Thank you for everything Sergio.
