Hello and welcome! I'm your guide here on the beautiful island of São Miguel in the Azores. Based in the small fishing village of Rabo de Peixe, I specialize in boat tours that blend adventure, nature, and authentic local culture. Together, we’ll explore the rugged northern coastline aboard a powerful, high-speed vessel—cruising past dramatic cliffs, hidden waterfalls, and the lush tea plantations of Porto Formoso. If we head west, we’ll navigate around volcanic rock formations like the iconic "Elephant Trunk," uncover secret coves, and take in some of the most breathtaking coastal views the island has to offer. For those looking for something even more immersive, I also offer traditional fishing experiences. Step aboard a classic local fishing boat and spend time with a seasoned fisherman, learning the old ways of the sea that still shape daily life here. My goal is to take you beyond the usual tourist path. I want to show you parts of the island that few get to see—raw, real, and filled with stories. From historical landmarks to natural wonders, from local legends to marine life, I bring both passion and knowledge to each trip. The Azores are my home, and sharing them is what I love most. Whether you're here to capture stunning photos, discover new perspectives, or simply enjoy the salty breeze and ocean air, you're in for an unforgettable experience. So, let’s set off together on a journey that’s equal parts excitement, beauty, and connection—with nature, the ocean, and the true spirit of this island.

Portugal Tour Reviews
Keith S.
“From ship to airport, a wonderful tour.”
We were leaving a river tour at 9am and needed a tour of Porto to fill 4 hours. After reviewing comments on her tour we chose Joana A, and what a great tour she made for us. My wife has mobility issues, and Joana adapted the tour in her car to suit her disability with drop offs very close to each special site around Porto, including so many photo opportunities, a very unique coffee shop, a special restaurant for lunch, and finally took us to the airport in time for our flight. Nothing was too much for Joana. If you have time after the normal river trip up the Douro. I cannot recommend enough a tour around Porto with Joana A. When we arrived home in UK she had even sent us photos of each of the sites we visited with us in shot and a fully compiled video. What a fabulous tour.

The time we spent in Porto exploring the city with you and Eira was absolutly incredible. With just few hours we were able to see all the iconic places and unique views of the city, drink a Porto wine, eat a pastel de nata, have lunch at a typical restaurant and even have great conversations and many laughts! Was a true blessing being able to show my city while the sun was coming out! Keep that amasing energy and Wishing you great travels around the world. Thanks again for picking me as your tour guide!

“Great History”
This tour was absolutely wonderful. Marisa was an excellent guide. She had so much information that it almost to hard to process! She had fabulous pictures of the people she was talking about to go along with the stops on the tour. She even gave me book suggestions for further "homework". I highly recommend Marisa and this tour!

“Lovely Douro Valley ”
The day started off a bit, dreary, weatherwise. But Rui made it a perfect day. The drive to the valley was lovely, but the valley itself is spectacular. Rui and our driver were fun and informative. We had a lovely river cruise, and then we were taken to a spectacular family winery -Pedro Milanos- for tastings, of not just wine, but the olive oil and strawberry jam that they also homemake. . And finally an amazing lunch at a local restaurant. Can’t say another good things about the Porto Butler and this tour.
