Meeting Point
At your hotel in the city center
Fernandine Walls (Old City Walls)
As the city began to expand, in the Middle Ages, beyond its ancient roman primitive walls, King Fernando ordered the construction of new walls, almost 10 meters high, to enclose and protect the city and its people. A few sections of these Fernandine ramparts still exist.
Santa Clara Church
Tucked away within a courtyard in the Batalha district, this 15th-century church, built as part of a monastery complex to re-house the nuns of the Order of Saint Clare, is famed for its magnificently opulent interior which every possible space is covered with carved and gilded woodwork. Today it's considered one of the finest examples of Portuguese Baroque and Rococo architecture.
Porto's Cathedral
Built in the highest part of the city, next to the walls that once protected the city, the Cathedral is the most important religious building in Porto.
São Lourenço Church
Compared to most churches in Porto, which are excessively decorated, its simplicity makes it a very enjoyable visit. São Lourenço Church, as well as being a convent, it also houses the Sacred Art and Archaeology Museum.
Medieval Quarter
In the oldest part of the city, this quarter is one of the most colourful and picturesque neighbourhoods of Porto, known for its intricate group of high houses that seem to bend and narrow medieval streets.
Ribeira
Located on the riverbank of the Douro, with colourful and wonderfully decorated façades, Ribeira is one of the most beautiful and liveliest districts in Porto’s historic centre.

Olá! Hi! I’m Izzy! Thanks for coming to my page and hopefully soon, Porto!
Originally from Lisbon, I moved to Porto in 98 to get my college degree in Biology. So quickly I fell in love with this city, its people, its food and wine - Porto is the homeland of the famous Port Wine and Francesinha, one of the best sandwiches in the world - its rich diverse history and world-renowned cultural treasures that I have been living here since then.
After University, I lived in Paris for one year, where I got a graduate degree in Image, Communication and Protocol - communicating with people is my passion – and I have been working in Tourism and Hospitality for the past years.
Traveling is all about exploring and understanding the place you visit, its people, history, culture and heritage diversity, as well as experience their traditions and gastronomy. Only this way you’ll be able to make unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime. As your guide, I´ll show you the city of Porto beyond the standard and conventional tourist-made itineraries, with all the well-known highlights, on tailor-made experiences, often along unexpected routes.
Whether it’s a Walking Tour through Medieval Porto, a Culinary Tasting at Porto’s most iconic restaurants, or a Guided Tour in the North of Portugal, for small groups, couples, families, students, business professionals or solo travellers, anything is possible. Just choose from one or more of my predesignated tour options or contact me and I will create the best itinerary based on your interests and needs!
See you soon!

“Susana IS outstanding! ”
Susana was an excellent communicator from the start with putting the MANY things I wanted to see/experience into an itinerary that I was delighted with! Susana had great visuals and shared many stories about Porto/Portugal history. Her in-depth knowledge was remarkable. I also enjoyed the delicious lunch establishment we ate at and the surprise treat of Pastel de Nata! Don’t hesitate to book Susana for your private experience. She will NOT disappoint you!
