Q: What do I need to know before going to Portugal?

Here are some quick tips to keep in mind before you touch down in the Land of Explorers. Speaking in Spanish/comparing Portugal to Spain is considered rude. “Sintra, Boca do inferno, & Cascais”

Pedro promptly picked us up from our hotel as arranged at 9am. First stop was Sintra, Pena Palace. Once we arrived, we appreciated having Pedro not only drive us but also guide us up and thru the palace. Sintra is a very beautiful but incredibly busy area. Having Pedro guide & drive us made it so much easier. He shared lots of knowledge and is very easy to spend 8 hours with. We would recommend Pedro & GowithGuide to anyone.

Extremely disappointed . 1.Pedro is from Sintra and has no knowledge or idea about Lisbon. Did not know the sightseeing places . Had absolutely no knowledge of the history. It was a disaster. Luckily we found a local guide and had to pay extra . 2. The car rented by Pedro was old and and air conditioning was not working properly. 3 The least one expect is driver cum guide with decent knowledge of the place. We spent lot of money and most valuable time. I certainly feel we should be compensated.

“Great Wine, stunning vistas, fantastic guide”

We spent an incredible, relaxing day with Pedro. Within 15 mins of meeting him it felt like we were lifelong friends. Our tour was very relaxed and laid back. He took us to two wonderful vineyards and out for lunch at a fantastic restaurant. Would highly recommend Pedro as a guide if you’re looking for easy conversation and a relaxed experience
