Puerta del Sol
We start our tour at the heart of the city - Puerta del Sol square. Back in the day, this square used to be the gate to Madrid, but nowadays it is one of the busiest plazas in the city
Plaza Mayor
From the Puerta del Sol, we take a short walk to another famous square - Plaza Mayor. It has a very interesting architectural design and you can find many shops and cafés surround it
Mercado San Miguel Market
Next, we visit the famous "tapas central" of Madrid - Mercado San Miguel. This food market has over 30 vendors selling different styles of tapas, making it a very delicious place to visit
Cathedral de la Almudena
This cathedral is a very unique place to visit. It used to be a mosque and turned into a cathedral in 1879. Inside you can find very beautiful and colourful art in the sealing
Royal Palace
Near the cathedral, we visit the Royal Palace of the Royal family. It is the largest still-functioning Royal Palace in Europe, built in 1735 and it consists of over 3400 rooms. Next to the palace is the Sabatini Gardens, which is the official gardens of the Royal Palace. It is a nice place to take a small break from all the hustle
Plaza de Cibeles
Here we visit the Fountain of Cibeles and the stunning Palace of Cibeles. From the observation deck, we can see a beautiful view of Madrid
Parque del Buen Retiro
Before visiting the museum of art, we take a walk in Madrid's largest park - Parque del Buen Retiro. The park used to belong to the Spanish Monarchy until the late 19th century
Prado Museum
We will end our tour to Prado Museum, its history dates back over 200 years. The museum exhibits former Spanish Royal Collection and Spanish art from the 12th century to the early 20th century
