This small tea room is a copy of famous Jo-An, the national treasure made by Oda Yuurakusai, a tea master who was a younger brother of Oda Nobunaga, a famous feudal lord in 16c.

In June, a resident called "Beverly Hills In Ooiso" is crowded with many visitors to enjoy rose viewing.
This lady is enchanted with the roses in full bloom.There are GRACE OF MONACO, PRINCESS MICHIKO, QUEEN ELIZABETH, you name it!
Ooiso town provides a lecture of Japanese tea ceremony for kids and adults periodically. They can learn the traditional manner how to have green tea and and sweets. This girl enjoyed two kinds of sweets shaped in flower and chestnut!
Ooiso Town has been loved by many celebreties and renowned people since Meiji era. Many VIPs in the financial and political field had their mansions and second houses. This is the former garden and mansion owned by a headmaster of Mitsui Group in 19~20c.The serene and beutiful garden is now a prefectural park which people visit to enjoy the greenery all through the year.
