Hello, I'm Yoko. I was born and brought up in Ashikaga, Tochigi prefecture (80 km north from Tokyo) and I've lived in Tokyo for more than 20 years.
I love traveling, both overseas and inside Japan. After I visited other countries and saw many local cultures there, I realized that Japan has a variety of unique cultures with a lot of tourist attractions.
I hope you enjoy your stay in Japan. I'm looking forward to seeing you soon!

“Yoko is EXCELLENT! Our time with her was priceless. ”
Yoko is an excellent, caring and joyful guide. We just LOVED her! As this was our first and most likely our only trip to beautiful Japan we wanted to make it count. Yoko worked with me through the GWG messaging platform to create perfect and VERY personalized itineraries for our time in Tokyo. We spent two full days and one evening with Yoko that included a day trip to Kamakura and a ½ day trip to Shibamaba. We saw everything we wanted to see and so much more. She was so sweet, interesting and informative. She assisted with all of our transportation needs (trains, buses, taxi’s) and even helped me purchase our Shinkansen tickets to Kyoto (our next destination). Loved all the restaurants she took us to and we even returned to one when we were on our own. All aspects of logistics to move around the sights we wanted to visit were incredibly efficient. We are seniors (60s/70s) of average fitness and can walk for several miles each day but must be mindful of steep steps without handrails and significantly uneven surfaces. Yoko was always sensitive to our comfort and needs. She looked after us like a fierce mamma bear! Because of Yoko, our time in Tokyo was perfect and 100% stress and worry free. It was hard to say goodbye… Thank you Yoko! Tracey & Pete

Thank you so much for taking your time to post such a fabulous review, Tracey and Pete! I had a lovely time with both of you. Actually Shibamata was not a familiar destination for me and unfortunately most of the shops were closed just after the Golden Week in Japan, so I wondered if you enjoyed your time there, but I’m glad to see your wonderful review on our tours. I also enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere of Shibamata with you. I’m so glad that you are interested in such a charming area of Tokyo. I learned a lot from touring with you. Thank you so much for giving me such a great opportunity! Actually I’m surprised to hear that you returned to one of the restaurants during your stay. I’m so pleased that you enjoyed your time in Tokyo. I think we had a similarity in some parts, so talking with you and touring with you were fun and interesting. I hope you had a lovely stay in Kyoto and have a lovely journey in Japan. Thank you so much for having me as your guide. I’m grateful for your thoughtfulness. Thank you again and please take care!

“Full day and half day tour. Highlights of Tokyo”
Yoko was a wonderful guide on our two tours of Tokyo. She was kind, patient, organized and spoke English well. Since we are seniors, she made sure that we were comfortable with the pace of the tour and that our needs were met. She even took us to some specialty shops to buy certain gifts for our grandkids and was so helpful in communicating with the salesclerks for me. We enjoyed our time with Yoko and got to see so many interesting sites that would have been way too difficult to see on our own. I would highly recommend her as a guide!

Thank you so much for posting such a wonderful review, Kathy! Due to the weather on the second day, I was sorry I wasn’t able to take you to a beautiful garden. Your understanding and flexibility are highly appreciated. I was glad to help you buy nice gifts for your grandchildren. I also had a lovely time with both of you. Talking to you and listening to your stories were interesting. Thank you so much for having me as your guide. I’m grateful for your thoughtfulness. I hope you are not tired after this trip. Thank you again and please take care!

“Peaceful first day tour ”
We wanted a relaxed first day tour to learn more about Japan and get comfortable navigating . Yoko was a very calm and kind guide who is an experienced traveller herself. In addition to her thoughtfully planned tour, she went out of her way to help us explore other interests and was very compassionate with our son. She had no issue understanding our rough Australian accents and her English was great. We would recommend Yoko to guide anyone wanting a gentle introduction to Tokyo.
