Being an off-road driver for over 30 years, I know Portugal inside out, literally “off the beaten track”. Making friends along the way and getting to know their culture and history, led me to organize tours and trips.
Me and my team of guides know all corners of Portugal.
Our team members include me (John), Rodrigo, Maia, Paulo and Ricardo. We all put our heart and soul into each experience. As a result, taking travellers beyond the destination, away from the usual touristic hustle.

Joao took us on a 5 hours walking tour in Lisboa. He had a very good knowledge of history and Lisboa and explained us everything. The tour was in German abd he spoke this language fluently. I can recomend Joao for all visitors, exspecially if you want a german speaking guide

Hello! Welcome to the most beautiful city in the world: Lisbon. I was born and raised in here and I cannot see myself living in any other city. I have a Bachelor Degree in Tourism and was licensed National Tourist Guide in 1998. I finished a Degree in History in 2013 and in 2021 my Master in History and Philosophy of Science. I have been working as a tourist guide with german, english and portuguese speaking groups in roundtrips/circuits within the country. I have experience in hiking tours, cultural tours and guided tours of monuments and museums throughout the whole national territory. I manage the projects Passeios Literários and Lisbon by the Book — both specialized in literary guided tours of Lisbon, and work as a guide for both projects as well. I’m the co-creator and responsible for the development of guided tours through the cultural heritage of the city of Lisbon for the project História LX — History, Heritage and Culture of Lisbon.
