My family and l (a group of 8 including my 90 year old Mum) booked this day trip. The amazing driver of our taxi was supposed to be just that - a driver - but he went above and beyond acting as our tour guide as well. He was very professional but also had a good sense of humour, but most importantly he was amazing with my mum and his treatment of her was nothing short of exceptional. His suggestions for our itinerary were great and we got to visit all the main sites we wanted to see. He made our day out one we will never forget. Would definitely recommend. [Kochi] Day Tour with a Private Car - by Van (9 pax)

“Driver and local historian rolled into one!”

We booked with TR Taxi for 2 excursions on our cruise around Japan: Kochi and Miyazaki. Their English speaking customer representative was excellent with communication since day one when we started planning a year before the cruise. Throughout the year if any updates were needed, they kept in contact and even helped us get a small refund as their local drivers' rates changed. We had a brilliant tour in Kochi! Our driver was early to meet us at the cruise terminal, and it was lovely to get right into our tour and not wait in the heat for a local taxi or shuttle bus. Disclaimer: I do speak Japanese which really helped with communication between my group and the driver, Nakamura-san, but I can tell he is very used to driving tourists around his home city. He gave us plenty of time at each spot and parked in very convenient locations with a description of where to meet each time. Even when our group was slow and took more time at certain stops, he helped us streamline other stops to stick within the time we paid for. What impressed me most was that we paid for a driver and car to help us visit lots of places and save time, but we also got escorted around the places we stopped at with commentary as a local! I helped translate for my family and my learned fascinating facts about Kochi Castle and the local samurai clans. Unfortunately due to poor weather preceding a typhoon, we couldn't stop in Miyazaki. I communicated this over the GoWithGuide message page and initially resigned myself to not receiving any refund, but was delighted that they offered us a full refund for the cancelled stop in Miyazaki! Of course it would have been wonderful to stop there and explore, but it really brightened all of us up after having missed 2 stops due to the weather. Thank you for the excellent service!

We had an excellent experience with our driver 楠さん(Kusunoki) on our Nara day tour. He was very punctual (arriving early) and professional. The sedan was comfortable, and he accommodated bathroom breaks along the way. Our itinerary included the Mitarai Walking Trail, Dorogawa Onsen Town, and the Limestone Caves. Our driver's kindness and thoughtful service were greatly appreciated, and he helped make our day stress-free. Coordination with TR Taxi was seamless and easy. Highly recommended!
