Hi, I’m Hiro. With me, you can experience travel that goes beyond sightseeing and connects you with local culture and everyday life in Japan. These are ways to enjoy the slower rhythm of life in Aomori. My great-grandmother was from Hakodate, Hokkaido. I have visited many times since childhood, so I can guide you there too and help you explore Aomori and Hakodate in one journey. I was born and raised in Aomori and have close connections with local farmers, families, and community members. Before returning home, I spent eight years in Tokyo serving in the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, where I helped welcome VIP guests, including state guests and world leaders. Having lived in both Tokyo and rural Japan, I can help you experience both sides of the country. I’m a licensed guide and a licensed nature guide, as well as a Leave No Trace Level 1 Instructor. I also hold Medic First Aid certification. If you enjoy being outdoors, I would be happy to guide you along the Michinoku Coastal Trail or introduce you to other nature experiences. “Best way to visit Aomori Shrines”
Fukuyoshi, our driver, was waiting for us at the cruise terminal, we visited the most important places with a comfortable Van excellent for our group of 6. We asked him for Ramen and a quick stop to a pharmacy and he was always accommodating and polite.

The hiking trails were muddy due to some early snowfall, and the weather was chilly, but we still had a fantastic day exploring Aomori together! My personal highlight was singing a Carpenters song at the steak restaurant! I also loved our conversations during the drives and the unexpected discovery of a pin from your hometown at the secondhand shop. It was heartwarming to see how close you all are as a family, especially as siblings. I must admit, I felt a little envious of your wonderful family bond!
