Miaomiao W.
I’ve been a licensed English-Japanese tour guide since 2004! I know Shenzhen well—I’ll tell you stories about the "dragon’s sons" on ancient roofs and take you to try high-tech fun like flying cars, drones, humanoid robots, and self-driving taxis, super exciting! I’m great at shopping too. I know exactly where to go for the best deals: cheap gadgets as gifts, real-looking knockoffs at China’s top high-end clothing market, and 2-carat lab-grown diamonds for just 2000+RMB. You might even find a business chance you didn’t expect. Need to visit factories? I can help—show you around, assist with negotiations, or find factories if you don’t have one. After the order is set, I’ll follow up on the progress and help arrange shipping. I’ve ordered clothes, jewelries, frames, lens from factories myself, so I’m super experienced and reliable! I’m flexible, down-to-earth and easy to get along with. I’ll make a customized itinerary fast, no generic cookie-cutter tours—just breathtaking spots tailored just for your taste. Traveling with me is anything but boring, and you won’t need cold translator apps at all. I’ll share your joys and listen to you vent if things go wrong. Your Shenzhen trip will be totally worth it!

Rory M.
Growing up between Hong Kong and Scotland, Rory was never a stranger to adventure. Whether it was scaling munros in the Scottish Highlands or the finding new waterfalls in the New Territories of HK, he was always keen to utilise any opportunity to explore. After finishing school, he got his first taste of a big adventure sailing an 80ft yacht from Scotland to the Svalbard archipelago near the North Pole. His post school years were then spent working and skiing in New Zealand & travelling around Southeast Asia. All of this, before moving to Australia to pursue degree in architecture. Whilst studying, Rory completed a solo bicycle trip across Vietnam and China, cycling from Saigon to Hong Kong. He wrote a book based on the experience that led to greater endeavours in the ensuing years. With university done, Rory proceeded to tackle a bigger challenge; cycling across Africa. He completed the solo ride from Cape Town to Cairo within 5 months, with a few eye-opening experiences along the way to say the least! His recent kayaking expeditions around Hong Kong, trekking in the Himalayas and climbing of some high altitude routes in the Andes other notable experiences among many. As an experienced traveller, he enjoys meeting other travellers and showing them a different side to Hong Kong. Having grown up there, he has a unique insight into many facets of 'HK' life.

Pima W.
Hi, I'm Pima! I'm a licensed English-speaking guide in Hangzhou. I moved to Hangzhou from northern China in 2012, drawn by its lakes, tea mountains, and the weight of a thousand years of poetry. My background isn't your typical guide story. I started as a journalist, then became the only content strategist in a marketing department before I found my true calling: telling stories about places. I'm also a museum docent and a bird watcher, which means I spend my off hours in galleries and nature. What I bring to a tour: It's the result of hundreds of books, academic papers, and conversations with local elders. I specialize in the Dynasties in China, and the old shiny civilization. My tours are built on stories. Ask me about tea and I'll take you to the actual source. Ask me about history and I'll show you where poets once carved their verses into stone. Ask me what else I love and I'll tell you: birdwatching, stargazing, 3D printing, and finding quiet corners of this city that even locals don't know exist. I don't rush. And I genuinely believe that the best tours feel less like a tour and more like walking through history with a friend who happens to know a lot. Come explore China with me. Let's make a real conversation.

Scarlett H.
Hi there! I’m Scarlett, a licensed English-speaking guide based in Hangzhou and covering the gorgeous Shanghai-Jiangsu-Zhejiang region. My friends often call me a bit of a story-collector. Having graduated from Cambridge with a degree in sociology, I love going beyond the standard postcard views to help you understand the real, living pulse of China (e.g. local stories, hidden details, and quirky histories most tourists walk right past). Everything I do is entirely customized around your vibe. Whether you’re dreaming of a zen day sipping tea in mist-shrouded valleys, hunting down the best under-the-radar street eats, or chasing futuristic, cyberpunk cityscapes for that perfect shot, we can design it from scratch. We can easily explore on foot, but if you want to travel in total comfort and style, I also offer car tours with my own very cozy private wheels, perfect for escaping the summer heat or zipping between hidden spots. Oh, and you can leave the camera duty to me! I have a real passion for photography and a sharp eye for lighting and angles, so I’ll make sure you go home with a camera roll full of stunning memories. Whether you're here for a quick weekend or a deep-dive adventure, just drop me a message and let's craft your perfect trip!

“A wonderful family trip with Daslie”
One of the best family vacation that we had. Daslie is the most resourceful and considerate guide we’ve ever met. She is very proficient in both English and Mandarin which makes communication a breeze. The tour turned out well and everyone in our family enjoyed the tour and her company. I could tell that a lot of work went on behind her scenes. She pre-planned every tour, every detail and prepared for every contingency. She carries around a large backpack (must have been heavy!) with lots of stuffs to keep us comfortable, like fans and snacks in case anyone needs. She’s definitely well prepared. It must be her gentle nature and caring self that carried thru to the way she engages with everyone in the family and made everyone feel welcomed and at ease. As a result, we could focus on spending time and enjoying as a family and not having to worry about anything else. This valuable time together is something we treasure a lot. We could experience the many facets of Xiamen that we never would have seen by ourselves. Thank you, Daslie, for all the arrangements, for your friendship and most of all, for being you.

“Travelled in the safe hands of an expert guide”
I had only one day to see Beijing, and John made sure I experienced everything I hoped for. He was responsive from the start, even updating me on the Great Wall weather the day before so I could plan with confidence. John arrived on time with a comfortable, air‑conditioned car stocked with water—perfect for the heat. He guided me through the Great Wall and the Forbidden City, navigating crowds smoothly and giving me plenty of free time. When the heat became overwhelming, he adjusted the plan and showed me more of the city by car, from historic areas to modern neighborhoods. He also went far beyond what I expected from a guide. When my Alipay failed during a small purchase, he paid for me without hesitation. Later, back at my hotel lobby, he helped me set up WeChat Pay so I’d have a reliable backup for the rest of my trip. At the end of the day, when he learned my dinner reservation was far from my hotel, he even drove me there on his way home—over an hour out of his way. John truly exceeded expectations: thoughtful, flexible, and incredibly supportive. I saw everything I wanted—the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, a jade shop—and felt completely taken care of throughout the day. An exceptional experience.

“A fun day spent learning about AI & robots ”
Miaomiao is an excellent guide - she was very good at engaging all 5 of us despite our different ages. We really got to appreciate Shenzhen’s technological development and also learnt a bit about China. It really was an eye-opener and I’d recommend Miaomiao to anyone looking for a friendly, helpful, energetic and knowledgeable tour guide in Shenzhen!

Hi Bliss, Thanks a million for your sweet feedback and recommendation! That means a lot and keeps me motivated! I also had such a great time with your lovely family. Your home is full of love. You’re always so gentle and patient with the kids, Your husband patiently showed the boys those high-tech gadgets, and the kids help each other out. Spending time with your family made me want to visit Singapore soon — it’s my next travel destination for sure! It was your second visit to China after 20 years. I hope this trip left you with lovely memories of Shenzhen, even though it rained all day on the second day.Two days wasn’t enough to see everything. I really hope you’ll visit Shenzhen or another city in China again soon – I’d love to show you more! Warmly, Miaomiao
