Chengdu Museum was first built in 958 and just finished building a brand new museum in2015 and opened it up to the public on September 15, 2016. t's right in the heart of Chengdu and is the biggest city museum in all of southwest China! The museum has over 300,000 artifacts on display, including pottery, jade pieces, bronze items and calligraphy. Chengdu Museum has exhibits that showcase the history and culture of Chengdu and Sichuan from ancient times to today. And it's not just about looking at stuff they have interactive exhibits and multimedia displays too, soeveryone can have fun while learning.

Chengdu Museum actually has several different exhibition halls, and each one focuses on aspecific aspect of Chengdu's history and culture. It's really cool how they're able to provide such acomprehensive look at everything that makes this city so special.

During the Three Kingdoms Period (220-280 AD), China was controlled by three powerful kingdoms: Wei, Shu, and Wu that had their capitals in present-day Luoyang of Henan, Chengdu ofSichuan, and Nanjing of Jiangsu, respectively. To unify all the states under their own banners, thethree kingdoms engaged in constant wars against one another, giving rise to a great manyoutstanding civil officials and military officers. Among them, Zhuge Liang, Prime Minister ofShuhan, has influenced future generations far more than his contemporaries. The Chengdu WuhouShrine is dedicated to commemorating Emperor Liu Bei and Prime Minister Zhuge Liang of the ShuKingdom. It was begun in 223 AD, when Liu Bei's Mausoleum was erected. Its existing mainbuildings were reconstructed in the 11th year of Kangxi during the Qing Dynasty (1672 AD).Located in southern downtown Chengdu, it covers an area of about 150,000 m2 and is the onlytemple in China where an emperor is enshrined with his minister and also the most influentialThree Kingdoms site museum in the world.

The Wuhou Shrine Museum is divided into three sections: The Cultural Relics Zone, WestZone, and Jinli. Primarily consisting of the Huiling Mausoleum, Han Zhaolie Temple, and WuhouShrine, the Cultural Relics Zone is flanked by Jinli and the West Zone on the east and west,respectively.
