“Wonderful trip to Sintra & the nearby coast”

We worked with Nuno to tailor a tour to our liking for a day from Lisboa to Sintra and back along the coast. He speaks fluent English, has a good sense of humor and possesses strong knowledge of the area and the monuments. There was a train strike that day and he expertly maneuvered heavier than average traffic, allowing us to visit the famed Pena Palace (must see, but go early as we did) and the beautiful grounds and palace of Regaleira in Sintra. He also recommended a wonderful seaside restaurant for us to have a leisurely lunch of fresh fish. We passed through Cascais but did not spend time there and had no regrets about our choice to dine elsewhere. Nuno's communication prior to arrival was excellent with prompt responses to every query from our group of 6. We thank him for a fabulous day and highly recommend Nuno for your next visit to Portugal.

“Unforgettable Day”

As Napa Valley locals, we thought we knew what beautiful vineyards looked like. But the Douro Valley? It completely blew us away. And Joana was the perfect person to experience it with. Joana is not a just a guide, she is a host. She turned a day trip into a highlight of our entire trip. From the start, she had everything dialed in—picking us up right on time and setting the tone with a thoughtfully packed snack basket full of treats. It was the perfect way to kick off a day of adventure. Her stories about Portuguese culture, winemaking traditions, and the history of the valley were both entertaining and insightful. The lunch she recommended was a perfect—fresh, delicious, and right on the waterfront. And then there was the port tasting. We visited a family-run quinta where we had a tour sipped some great ports. We made several stops, museum, train station, historic hotel, scenic spots. Throughout the day, she took photos of us, offered great tips for our time in Porto, and made sure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment. It was so well planned, but she checked in throughout the day to make sure what was planned was meeting our expectations. It was clear she genuinely cared about making our experience exceptional. She is such a kind and genuine person. Throughout the years, I have done a lot of day trips, self guide, small or medium tours, and private. This one is top of the list. If you're considering a trip to the Douro Valley, this is a must do. It’s a day you won’t forget.

Your amasing energy, young spirit and the ability to enjoy each moment and have genuine laughs about funny things... like the millenials, was a joy during the day! “A Trip of a Lifetime – Thanks to Paula!”

We had an absolutely incredible experience with our guide, Paula. Her local roots in the Sintra and Cascais areas were truly clutch—thanks to her insider knowledge, we didn’t just hit the typical tourist spots. Paula took us off the beaten path to some amazing hidden gems that only a local would know about. One of the most memorable moments was a stop at a seafood restaurant she used to visit as a child. The food was nothing short of phenomenal—fresh, flavorful, and authentic. It felt like we got a true taste of the region’s culture and cuisine. From breathtaking views and unforgettable meals to the stunning photos we took along the way, the entire day felt like something out of a dream. This was easily a trip of a lifetime, and Paula played a huge part in making it so special. Highly recommend!
