Hi, I’m Kotomi, born and raised in Sakai City, Osaka – home to Japan’s only UNESCO World Heritage site, the Mozu Tombs. During my student years, I studied abroad in Malaysia and traveled to more than 15 countries, which deepened my love for history, culture, and food around the world. After graduating, I worked at a trading company in the textile industry, visiting international exhibitions and working with people from many countries. Eventually, I decided to become a tour guide because I wanted to share the beauty and charm of my hometown, Osaka, and the Kansai region with travelers. I love talking about temples and shrines, Japanese customs, and even anime culture. I also know plenty of delicious local restaurants around the Namba area. While Osaka is my main focus, I can also guide you through Kyoto, Nara, Wakayama, and Shiga. My goal is to make your trip to Japan an unforgettable and truly authentic experience. Let’s explore together!

Hi, I'm Yoko, a National License Tour Guide&International Kikisake-shi. I speak with an American accent, 'cause I lived in Seattle, Washington for six years in my childhood(3-9 years old). My tours might be better with people who LOVE TO WALK, have STAMINA and keen to learn about the culture. Now I live within a walking distance from Ueno Park, Tokyo, so I see a lot of International tourists walking around in my neighborhood every day. (PLEASE CHECK EACH TOUR. The expenses are spelled out, too.) "Tokyo is larger than we thought and the transportations are so complicated," Swedish guys told me. I'm here to help you. I know well about Tokyo, Yokohama, Yamanashi etc. and I travel most of the parts of Japan. I would appreciate if you could see more sightseeing spots with me as your guide and enjoy your stay. I love to answer your questions, even though I became nearly breathless when I was with American guests, a family of three, curiously asking me questions after questions:-) I appreciated their interest in Japan very much. I also go mountain trekking for nearly thirty years. I've been to the summit of Mt. Fuji and Mt. Kitadake three times. Talking about Mt. Takao, maybe more than fifty times. I hope we can enjoy the beautiful view together. I'm looking forward to seeing you soon and having a good time together. Hope to hearing from you soon.

I'm Yukiko. I'm a Licensed Tour Guide and a Registered Nurse. I've worked as a guide since 2015. Thanks to increasing repeat, referred and new clients, tour guide is my main job. I was born and raised in Tokyo. I am 3T lover- Travel, Tea ceremony and Traditional and modern arts. I am a mother so that I'd be glad to welcome families with young children. I used to teach Japanese cultures to elementary students from Kindergarten to Grade 6 at local and private elementary schools when I lived in Canada, United states, and New Zealand. My happiest moments with these children were when they look forward to another lesson every week. All lessons were customized and prepared after discussing with each classroom teacher. It was a challenging job, but this experience broaden my horizon and prompted me to become an English tour guide. My main tour area are Tokyo, Kamakura, Yokohama, Hakone, Mt. Fuji, Gunma and Nikko. It's a private personalized tour so that I'd be happy to discuss about it with you in advance to make your tour pleasant. We can include Japanese cultural experiences if you'd like. I also have done virtual experience on Amazon and company events during the last 3 years pandemic. I took the plunge, it was definitely a great step and enhanced my guiding skills. I have a license of Registered Nurse and a Medical interpreter. I've still worked as a nurse during the off- tourism season so that I've kept a medical back ground. I've experienced to do several tours for mobility challenged clients who have intractable disease and have a difficulty for a long walking. Mobility challenged customers (cane/wheelchair) are always welcomed. I'd love to make your trip meaningful and unforgettable. Please feel free to contact with me anytime.

I’ve called Japan home for seven years, embracing everything from Tokyo’s vibrant urban energy to the tranquillity of the countryside. Before becoming a guide, I explored Tokyo like a curious long-term traveller, uncovering unusual temples, quirky landmarks, hidden backstreets, local live music venues, rural mountain villages, and one-of-a-kind cultural gems. My passion lies in crafting immersive journeys that dive deep into Japan’s heart, sparking a sense of wonder and escape that makes travellers feel worlds away from home. I’m excited to guide you through the Tokyo labyrinth. This city is endlessly fascinating—so layered and dynamic that even with a lifetime here, you’d only scratch the surface. I’ll show you how to navigate it like a local, as mastering the transport system isn’t as tricky as it seems, and I’ll help you gain the confidence to explore Tokyo on your own while we focus on the city’s hidden treasures. Together, we can visit parts of Tokyo most travellers overlook—the nostalgic charm of the Shitamachi, the hustle of salaryman districts, the neon-lit buzz of cyber Tokyo, and tranquil local power spots. Let’s discover the city’s hidden depths and create memories that will last a lifetime!

Hi! Thanks for reviewing my profile. I am Australian, from Sydney originally but my life with Japan and its culture and history spans 30 odd years and I have been a Hiroshima resident for 18 of those 30 years. I joined GoWithGuide just recently but be assured I have led many tours in Hiroshima and more widely throughout metropolitan and regional Japan, sharing conversations about the unique society, its fascinating culture and history. I also have written several tourism blogs for inbound tour companies and also the Hiroshima Prefectural Tourism Bureau. I speak fluent Japanese and I have immersed myself in the experience of living here in modern and traditional culture and spent many years studying martial arts Aikido and Iaido. I also have a strong interest in Buddhist teachings. My Japanese calligraphy work over the years has been received recognition and several awards and commissions both in Japan and elsewhere. I'm looking forward to spending a great experience sharing the culture and history of Hiroshima with you.

Hello! I am Masumi, thanks for checking out my profile! I have spent the past 11 years in Tokyo, but prior to Tokyo, I spent 10 years in Dubai. I have also lived in the UK for a couple of years and studied in the US for a year. I worked as a cabin crew during my years in Dubai. The international and multi cultural environment made me who I am today, an international person. I was fascinated and intrigued by the counties I visited and its people. As my job took me to countless countries, enabling me to see the world, I found that a tour guide could determine one’s impression of the country, making the trip more memorable. I cherish the great tours I went on to this day! Also, having lived abroad for 10 years, I was surprised at the level of interest there is in Japan and how many had the desire to visit one day. After returning to Japan, I soon got a taste of how difficult it could be to get around, even for a Japanese person! Visiting Japan I imagine can be daunting, not just the language barrier, but the ability to get from one place to another in an efficient way. This led me to get started as a tour guide, assisting visitors with the best possible experience in Japan. Tokyo is an attractive city where traditional and modern Japan coexist. You can either arrange your own itinerary, or let me help you discover Japan according to your preference. Leave it to me, we can deep dive into anything from must see landmarks to delicious cuisines to discovering how the locals live. Let me help you make your experience in Japan memorable! Look forward to seeing you soon!

I have been interested in Japanese traditional culture. I used to be in a Kendo(Japanese fencing) club and a Japanese flower arrangement club when I was a student. I got a degree of Sho-dan(first-dan) in Kendo, and a diploma in follower arrangement. I also got a certificate as a Japanese tea instructor. It would be my great pleasure to help you find out more about Japanese culture. Shizuoka is a lovely place to visit. Hello, welcome to my page! My name is Midori which means GREEN in Japanese. You can call me Midori or Green. I grew up and have lived all my life in Yamanashi Prefecture where Mt. Fuji is and it is only 2 hours bus riding from Tokyo. In my spare time, I hike and play badminton. I also like spending time with my two cats in my free time. I became a National Licensed Tour Guide in 2014, but I started working as a guide mainly in 2023. I worked for an English conversation school in Japan for 23 years and was teaching English and also helping Japanese students to become better English speakers. I realize that teaching and guiding are similar because the essential thing in both is that I could entertain people and I can respond to their requests. When I was in my 20s, I visited many countries. There I had locals or other tourists help me a lot, which made my time unforgettable. Therefore, as a guide, I would really like to assist your trip so that you can have a blast without inconvenience in Japan. In addition, in my tour, I would like to talk about not only how beautiful Mt.Fuji is but also how historical and attractive it is. If you are interested in my tour, please feel free to contact me. You can choose my fixed tour or if you wish, I can customize and make a perfect itinerary based on your requests. Let’s make an awesome trip together at the foot of Mt. Fuji!
