Hi there! I'm Junko, a government licensed tour guide and interpreter. I was born and bred in the Tokyo area. I can customize my tour or ceate a tour any way you like, so please send me a message if you are interested. I have spent a year as a graduate student in the US, and traveled in several countries. I've made friends with non-Japanese people throughout my life, and I have a pretty good knowledge of what they want to know. I love goofy jokes and having fun. This tour offers you an opportunity to appreciate incredible artisanship in majestic nature, which is a very unique experience to Nikko. We will visit Toshogu Shrine, Rinnoji Temple, and Taiyuin to observe the magnificent architecture and marvelous sculptures. This tour takes you to the places you chose from a wide variety of sight seeing spots only Tokyo can offer. Some of them are: Tokyo Skytree, Asakusa Sensoji Temple, Shinjuku Gyoen Garden, and Akihabara. Also, please don't hesitate to tell me what you would like if you are more interested in non-touristy spots, such as Used Bookstore Street in Jimbocho or secondhand clothing stores in Shimo-Kitazawa. Our day with Junko in Tokyo was one that we will never forget! She took us to some amazing sites, showed us how to use the daunting subway system and was fantastic company throughout the entire day. Could not recommend her highly enough! For us, it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip.

Since I am one of a few guides who tried virtual tour in Tokyo during pandemic, it was a challenging, but it was definitely a great step and enhanced my guiding skills. I was born and raised in Tokyo. I am a mother so that I'd be glad to welcome families with young children as well. I used to teach Japanese cultures to elementary students from Kindergarten to Grade 6 at local and private elementary schools when I lived in Canada, United states, and New Zealand. My happiest moments with these children were when they look forward to another lesson every week. All lessons were customized and prepared after discussing with each classroom teacher. It was a challenging job, but this experience broaden my horizon and prompted me to become an English tour guide. I have a license of Registered Nurse and a Medical interpreter. I've still worked as a nurse during the off- tourism season so that I've kept a medical back ground. There are some common thinking between Tour guide and Nurse, both jobs are required to put myself into their shoes. I'll make plans considering their physical conditions and will arrange any supports after discussing about the tour. I've already experienced to do several tours for mobility challenged clients who have intractable disease and have a difficulty for a long walking. My Name is Naoya. I was born in Tokyo in 1952. After my graduation from Keio University, I joined a Japanese bank. Mainly I was assigned international business and stayed in London for three years. At the age of 52, I moved to a Japanese manufacturer company and had worked for 11 years. As a personnel manager, I engaged in hiring Indian graduates. Then for two years, I went to Tashkent in Uzbekistan as a JICA senior volunteer. I taught "corporate finance" at Tashkent Financial Institute in English. I got the guide license in 2017, After I came back to Tokyo, I am working as a volunteer guide, especially in Shinjuku. I hope to create special and deep tours in which tourists are interested but by now they were not able to gain access to. For example; Visit to various Universities, Visit to narrow streets in Tokyo, Visit to feel Edo (Now and Then) My hobby is playing the guitar. I hope we are in peace through music. I am also interested in Art, History and cooking. My major subject is economics and finance.
