Originally from Shizuoka prefecture which has Mt.Fuji, the highest mountain in Japan. I took 2 working-holiday-visa stays in my younger days. One is in Toronto, Canada, and another is Australia touring by motorcycle. One year respectively. I love travel both international and domestic. I myself love travel freely. My favorite is taking you to the off-the-beaten tracks where I love and sharing my seasonal favorites. I'm happy to make tailor-made tours only for you (up to 4 people) upon your request. ・Half Day as you like (up to 4 hours) : 40,000 JPY ・Full Day as you like (up to 8 hours) : 64,000 JPY ・Extra hour over 8hours : 6,000 JPY/hour I often spend multiple days with the same group to accommodate itinerary for multi days by including my seasonal favorites. I often do Mt.Fuji or Hakone tour. In many cases, the locations are mixed up between Mt.Fuji Five Lakes area and Hakone area, which are not the same place. Please refer to the map I uploaded on gallery to check the sites you are interested in. Also my blogs will help your understanding both areas - "The location difference of Mt.Fuji (Fuji Five Lakes) and Hakone". As a national government licensed guide, I've got deep knowledge of Japanese culture and history. But more than that, I really enjoy talking about the way of life with people from different cultures. I will take you to Tosho-gu Shrine and Rinno-Ji Temple, including Toiyu-inn in Nikko. Tosho-gu was built about 400 years ago to worship Ieyasu Tokugawa who started Edo Period. Rinno-Ji was established in 766 and combined with Tosho-gu about150 years ago. Taiyu-inn was built in 1653 to worship the third Shugun Isemitsu. We will use an express train from Tokyo and the shuttle bus there.

“Outstanding Day in Nikko with Jack!”
We had a wonderful experience exploring Nikko with Jack, and I cannot recommend him highly enough! He took care of absolutely everything. His organization, professionalism and attention to detail made the entire experience effortless and enjoyable. Jack made sure we saw all the important sights and experienced everything that makes Nikko such a special Dey. We never felt rushed or worried about the logistics of the day. He handled everything so smoothly that we were free to simply enjoy the beautiful scenery, remarkable historical sites and the experience of just being there. If you are considering a private guide for Nikko, you could not be in better hands than Jack. We recommend him without hesitation! P.S.-He speaks perfect English. Having lived in New Zealand for more than 20 years, his communication skills are outstanding. Conversation with him was completely natural and effortless, which is another reason to book his services.

“Visit of the historic locations”
On foot and by the support of a local bus, we visited with Miki the Tamozawa Imperial Villa, Rinnoji temple and Toshogu shrine. Although Miki is not a classical guide she guided us throughout the locations with flair, giving explanation of the most important aspects.
