My name is Ryoko. I was born and raised in Utsunomiya, near Nikko.
I’ve been lucky enough to visit many countries, and I love traveling and meeting new people. Now, I’m really happy to be able to share the beauty of Japan with visitors from all over the world.
I’ve been guiding in Nikko and Utsunomiya for over 10 years, and I can show you not only the famous sights but also local culture, food, and hidden gems. “A great time with a great host!”
Ryoko was very knowledgeable about the area and my favorite place of the trip was Toshogu Shrine. Those steps were steep! It was a lovely area and thankfully, the weather was quite nice. I wish I could remember the name but the soba restaurant we went to was fantastic and the bakery on the way to station was nice as well. I strongly recommend Ryoko as your guide. In addition to her knowledge, she is a very friendly person to talk to and the time just flew away. She is quite passionate about the area and I hope to one day fully explore Nikko!
