The tour mainly covers the World Heritage area of Nikko.
This is a recommended tour for those who only have four hours to spend in Nikko.
For example, it is perfect for the four hours after arriving in Nikko around noon, or the four hours between hotel check-out and departure. The tour can be customized to your preferred schedule, either in the morning or afternoon.

Tobu Nikko station, JR Nikko station, or a hotel near Nikkō Station
Shinkyo (Sacred Bridge)
A beautifully preserved vermilion bridge marking the entrance to Nikko’s World Heritage area.
Rinnoji Temple
Rinnoji’s Sanbutsudo Hall is the temple’s main hall, where you’ll find three Buddhist statues representing Nikko’s sacred mountains. Nearby, the Goma Hall offers the chance to watch a traditional goma fire ritual.
Toshogu Shrine
Toshogu Shrine is one of Japan’s most celebrated shrines, renowned for its vibrant carvings, the iconic Three Wise Monkeys, and the stories connected to Tokugawa Ieyasu, the first shogun of the Tokugawa Shogunate.
As we explore the grounds, you’ll also see the magnificent Yomeimon Gate, one of the shrine’s nine National Treasures.

“A day looking at UNESCO heritage sites and good food”
My parents and I went with Ryoko around key cultural sites in Nikko with Ryoko using our rented car. Ryoko answered our questions and helped us to understand what we were seeing well. The food she recommended we eat along the way was good, and she even gave us some very thoughtful gifts at the end. (The sake brewery she added on was also a treat.) She was easy to talk to, and we're glad we got to spend the first day in Nikko getting more tips from her on how else to spend our remaining time well.

“Ohhh Oya! And the majectic bamboo forest”
Its was a very interesting tour - we specially enjoyed the underground former rock quarry- it was amazing! Ryoko was very well versed with japan’s history and it was fun comparing Japanese culture and Philippine culture and history. She is a wealth of information about Japan! Experience the most personalized guided tour in Nikko, where I will meet you at JR Utsunomiya station or Tobu Nikko station. We'll take the bus to Tamozawa Imperial Villa Memorial Park. I will show you around both inside and in the garden. After the lunch break, we will go to Kanmangafuchi Gorge. Then we will walk to Toshogu Shrine and spend one and a half hours there. We will visit Rinnoji's Sanbutsudo Hall. On returning to Nikko station, we will stop at the Shinkyo Bridge.
