I was borne and raised in Fukuoka. I'm retired last year, and now slowly enjoying life. Before retireing, I work for IT related services for over 4 decades. My job roles were programmer, System Engineer, IT department Manager and IT project manager, additionally Internal Auditor. But, I feel it's a long time ago. I'm not a sporty person. I prefer reading books(Manga & novels) and listening music. Especially, I like Taiyou Matsumoto's commic & Tatsurou Yamashita's pop music. I also like outdoor activities like camping, jogging and chairing. Especially, enjoyning chairing. (Taking a folding chair and walk to the beach, which is 15 minutes away, and just relax.) I want to communicate with many people through the Japan as it is.

Please check "IMPORTANT". Hi, I’m Kazuto! Please call me “Kazu”! I was born and raised in Osaka. I’ve been working as a Japanese tutor and sometimes show my students around Osaka. My students sometimes feel stressed in Japan due to the language barrier even though they study Japanese and I’ve decided to become a tour guide in Kansai to help tourists! DO YOU WANT A STRESS-FREE TRIP? I can be your private concierge for your trip. Let me know if you need any help! By the way, I like anime, manga, video games, I’m an Otaku :) There are a lot of “otaku” places in Osaka like “Nintendo Osaka”, “Pokemon Center”, “Shonen-JUMP store”, “Universal Studio Japan” and so on. I want to show impressive Japanese Pop Culture so much!! Japan has limited-time anime, game or manga-collab cafes. You have to book for many of them and I can help you with the booking! Also, I like eating out! I can offer bar-hopping tours, share good ramen restaurants, and so on! I’m looking forward to seeing you! Let’s explore deep Osaka!

I have lived in the US, UK, and India for approximately 20 years, and I’ve also traveled to about 30 countries. Living abroad for such a long time made me realize Japan’s value and sparked my interest in working as a translator/guide for foreigners. I’m truly passionate about introducing people to historical sites, authentic Japanese culture, and stunning natural spots that may not be widely known to people outside of Japan. There are countless places that I believe people would love. I am a certified English interpreter guide certified by Kyoto City, Uji City and Otsu City. Plus, I passed the Kyoto Tourism and Culture Exam (the 3rd level). Originally from Nagoya, I cover areas around the Kansai region including Kyoto, Shiga, Nara and Mie. I’m here to ensure your trip to Japan becomes an unforgettable memory. Looking forward to meeting you!

Hello, I’m Atsushi. I grew up in Osaka, a city famous for its warm people, delicious food, and lively culture. Until last month, I worked for five years as a softwear engineer. Now, I’ve shifted to what I truly enjoy—working closely with people. Alongside private tutoring and mental health counseling, I am excited to guide travelers through my home region. “Make your once-in-a-lifetime trip to Japan even more unforgettable.” That’s my mission as your guide. With me, you can explore historic landmarks, or dive into the city’s soul through food—whether it’s a casual street-food crawl or hidden local favorites. Since I grew up here, I can take you beyond the usual tourist spots to restaurants and shops that locals actually return to again and again. I’d like to introduce a place that will make you want to come back. On hot summer days, I’ll show you comfortable underground passages and indoor attractions. When the weather is just right, we can enjoy the city outdoors to the fullest. Guests often say my tours feel like being guided by a friend who knows the city inside out—fun, relaxed, and authentic. I want you to experience Osaka not only as a visitor, but as someone who feels at home here. And one more thing: 10% of my earnings are donated to organizations that support single-parent families (Save the Children). Let’s make your Japan journey something truly special together!

I received a master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the U.S. I have lived in a city of Fujisawa, which is a city next to Kamakura, for more than 20 years, and also used to live in Kamakura for more than 10 years. In addition to Kamakura, I can also guide you around Tokyo, Yokohama, Hakone, Nikko, etc. because I have visited many places in Kanto area. For example, in Tokyo I can show you around many sightseeing spots, such as Asakusa, Tsukiji, Imperial Palace, Meiji Shrine, Tokyo Skytree, etc. I like baseball and used to play baseball, but now enjoy watching professional baseball games. And I like watching Rakugo, Japanese traditional story-telling performance. Of course, I also like travelling very much, and am interested in Japanese culture and history. So I would like to show you Japanese tradition and culture. Let’s enjoy a trip in Japan together. I am looking forward to seeing you soon.

Hi everyone! Hearty welcome to Japan. I’m Tomoko. I am an English-speaking licensed tour guide, and a registered nurse as well. “Fun Discovering Experience Walking like a Local!” – F-D-E-W-L! That’s what I suggest. 【Experiences】 My work history is as follows. 1) high school teacher ---12 years 2) nurse--8 years + 2 years as operational manager for Kamakura city vaccination team (during COVID period) 3) tourism related jobs such as tour conducting, guiding, and backyard supporting---10 years As a tour conductor, I’ve visited about 20 foreign countries (possibly yours?) as well as countless number of towns and villages in Japan. I’ve enjoyed these jobs while being a mother. Through these experiences with lots of people from different backgrounds, I've found it a great pleasure to share the joy of learning and experiencing something new! 【Guiding Areas】 <Basic> Tokyo, Kamakura, Hakone, Fuji, Yokohama, Nikko, and other neighboring areas from Tokyo I’m a specialist in Tokyo and Kamakura as I have lived and enjoyed walking a lot in those cities for decades. To be honest, even after all my years here, I still enjoy exploring like a tourist as Tokyo is such an enormous city with great diversity and is constantly changing. Kamakura is a historical small city with nice beaches and hills and lots of hidden spots of beauty. Almost every time I go out, I feel I’m still making new discoveries. That’s why I cannot stop exploring. I would take you to some neighboring areas like Hakone, Yokohama, Nikko, and Mt. Fuji area (Lake Kawaguchiko), etc. <Based on Requests > *if my transportation & accommodation are covered Nagoya, Kyoto, Nagano(Nagano city, Snow Monkey park, Kisoji trail, etc.), Hida (Takayama, Shirakawa-go), Kanazawa, Oita, Yamagata, Akita, etc. My original family is from Nagoya, so I know their culture and even their language(dialect) well. Later in my life, I have lived in Oita, Kyushu(far south west of Tokyo) for nearly 10 years and traveled a lot in Kyushu. I love traveling Tohoku, the northern Japan area, too. I’ve planned and enjoyed visiting many of those local areas in the north, too. So, I could share those experiences with you even while having tours in Tokyo or online. 【Personality and others】 - I love meeting people, listening and talking to them. - I'm friendly and caring, I hope:) - I love nature and enjoy hiking and skiing. - I love seasonal flowers and good local food. - You will see a lot about Japanese culture, nature, and lifestyle with me. What has made you decide to come to Japan, by the way? Is it its scenic beauties, exotic culture, history, food, anime, or what else? Is it your business that has brought (or will bring) you here? Let me have a clue and customize your tour. I will make the best tour suggestion for you. Why don’t you contact me now? I’m looking forward to seeing you soon! Thank you! Arigato-gozaimas!

Hi, I’m glad you found my page! I’m a local guide based in Kyushu who loves sharing the region’s history, food, and landscapes in a relaxed and friendly way. Think of me as someone who can make your trip comfortable and memorable, while keeping things easygoing and fun. I began guiding to share the history, scenery, and food of my home with visitors from around the world. Before this, I worked in luxury retail, where I learned how important details and genuine hospitality are. Now I bring that same spirit to my tours, making sure every guest feels comfortable, cared for, and free to enjoy their journey. I specialize in private car tours around Kyushu, so you don’t have to worry about train schedules or carrying luggage. We can stop where you like, take things at your own pace, and enjoy the scenery along the way. Onboard you’ll have free Wi-Fi, music, and a comfortable ride—perfect for families, couples, or friends who want both convenience and a touch of luxury. Some of my favorite places to share are: Nagasaki: Peace Park, Atomic Bomb Museum, and the city’s cultural blend Fukuoka: Dazaifu Shrine, city highlights, and Yanagawa’s river cruise with eel dishes Kumamoto: Mt. Aso’s volcanic views, Kumamoto Castle, and Kurokawa Onsen Oita: Hita’s riverside town, plus Beppu and Yufuin hot springs Saga: Arita’s ceramics and the Yoshinogari ancient site Takachiho Gorge: A mystical canyon tied to Japanese legends What I enjoy most is helping guests discover both famous sights and hidden corners of Kyushu, while keeping the experience comfortable and stress-free. Whether you’re drawn to culture, food, history, or beautiful scenery, I can adjust the plan to match your style. I’d love to share my part of Japan with you and create memories that last long after your trip. If you have any questions or requests, please feel free to send me a message. I look forward to welcoming you to Kyushu and showing you what makes this region so special!

Hello! I am Kanae, a nationally licensed guide. While working full-time as a lecturer at a local university in Kyoto, I have also been guiding for two years. Born and raised in Kyoto, I am excited to share the beauty and culture of my hometown with my customers. Kyoto is an enchanting city, and even as a local, I am continually fascinated by its many charming spots. Whether it's the serene temples, vibrant markets, or hidden gems, there is always something new to explore and appreciate in this wonderful city. Also, since my home is close to Shiga Prefecture, I am very familiar with the area. While Shiga may not be as popular as Kyoto, it offers a wealth of attractions for tourists. From historical sites such as temples and shrines to the stunning natural beauty of Lake Biwa, the largest lake in Japan, there is much to see and do. I am passionate about promoting Shiga and sharing its unique charm with visitors.

Hello! I’m a local guide based in the Miura Peninsula, a beautiful coastal area just south of Tokyo. I’ve been living here for nearly 10 years, surrounded by the sea, fields, and a peaceful way of life. The Miura Peninsula has many unique towns. Kamakura is an old capital where Japan’s first samurai government began. Yokosuka has long been a base for the Japanese Navy, and today it is a special mix of American and Japanese naval cultures. Misaki & Jogashima (Miura City) is a quiet fishing and farming town, very different from busy Tokyo. Hayama is a beautiful town with a summer house of the Japanese Imperial Family. Through my tours, I want to show not only the famous places but also everyday life in Japan—especially how people live in small towns outside the big city. I hope you can feel the calm, kindness, and beauty of local life. I’d love to show you the slower, more local side of Japan. Let’s explore together!

Originally from Canada, I've been living in Japan for 35 years, most of that in Miyazaki. I speak the language and I know the area better than most locals. In Miyazaki, there is a lack of public transport so I'd be happy to drive you to places like Aoshima (a beautiful beach and surfing hub), Udo Jingu (a unique seaside shrine), the samurai and merchant residences of Obi, and introduce you to the best spots for local food, shopping, or nightlife, as well as let you in on a few hidden secrets of Miyazaki if you have the time.

Hello,I'm Megumi. I was born and raised in Kanazawa, and this city is not just where I live — it is a place I truly love and am deeply proud of. Surrounded by history, traditional culture, and seasonal beauty since childhood, I naturally developed a strong connection to Kanazawa’s past and present. My passion for sharing the stories behind this beautiful city is what inspired me to become a tour guide. From the rich history of the samurai districts to the elegance of traditional gardens and the local lifestyle that many visitors might miss, I enjoy bringing Kanazawa to life through authentic, personal storytelling. Because this is my hometown, I can offer insights that go beyond guidebooks — local perspectives, hidden details, and a deeper understanding of the culture that only someone who grew up here can share. Hello! I’m Keiko. The memories of travels are somehow linked with foods: I absolutely agree with this. How about you? Travel and food are the two things I love, and I would be delighted to share my passion with you! Before becoming a government licensed guide, I worked for 40 years as a bank manager. Throughout my career, I was always in contact with overseas, communicating with many people from across the world. Also, I lived in London for 3 years and went to elementary school there. Having such a background, I naturally became very much interested in cross-cultural exchange. Whenever I travel abroad, I always try to experience local culture, because it gives me a chance to encounter many interesting things. As a guide, I wish to not only introduce the beauties and wonders of Japan, but also to take you on a first-hand experience tour of our country, especially focusing on Japanese culinary culture. It will be nice if you can take home what you experienced here and enjoy cooking Japanese dishes in your county – a lasting souvenir! My 40 years’ experience in traditional Japanese kaiseki cuisine might be helpful here. Come and explore Tokyo with me!

Kanazawa is known for many things including gold leaf, a rich samurai history, its beautiful gardens, delicious seafood, and historic Geiko (Geisha) culture. I would love to introduce these things and so much more! Did you know Kanazawa is also home to the oldest sake brewery in the region? What about the local ceramics and laquerware? You can also participate in different workshops like traditional Japanese sweets-making class, gold leaf pasting, Kaga-yuzen (local kimono brand) painting, and sushi-making using local ingredients. There are many beautiful known spots and a lot of hidden gems in the area and I can't wait to introduce them to you. Hi! I am Macky. I am glad to accompany you on your tour to Japan and show you the beauty and experiences Japan has to offer. I am an English tour guide and I have guided many foreign visitors around Kamakura, Nikko, Mt. Fuji and Hakone. I love sightseeing myself and I enjoy food and wine… I have been interested in intercultural exchanges and have visited many places locally and overseas alike. I have strong passion in Japanese history, culture, and geography. More than just simply showing you the stunning beauty of the places, I love to impart the cultural and historical value of each sightseeing spot. The place I can guide tourists best is Kamakura which has major shrines and temples with historical and religious details. It can be fun not only to explore Kamakura from historical point of view but also experience various activities such as hiking, rental kimono-clad walking, and learning carving technique as well as soba noodle preparation. I am flexible. My guide is unique and comprehensive. If you want to make the most out of your trip, I can show you around and make you experience Japan to the fullest. I can accommodate the tour according to your needs and preferences giving you a hassle-free, enjoyable and memorable tour. I can also take you to non tourism places such as various factory tours in Yokohama and Kawasaki City.

Hello to all of you on the screen. My name is Toru Ishii and I am a licensed national interpretater of English language. I have been guiding scrolling around a Japanese landscape garden designated as Scenic Beauty in Yokohama city for the last 2 years. I would like to explain about time-honored Japanese architectures, transfered from Kyoto and Kamakura, designated as Important Cultural Property. I am also interested in Tea Ceremony and in the ritual of serving powdered green tea in the garden. Yokohama opened its door to overseas comers in 1859 after the Meiji Restoration. The port of Yokohama shared about 70 percents of overseas trading in Japan. The main export was raw silk thread. Now the beautiful city of Yokohama has become historically exotic and ranks as one of the most fascinating internationally trading city that attracts many foreign tourists. I am always happy to guide tourists around this historical region and Introduce the delights of Japanese cuisine and Chinese cuisine in China town according to the visitor's requests. Stepping further out from Yokohama, I would recommend Kamakura city, a 20 minutes train ride on the JR Line, where the visitor can feel the fresh ocean breeze. The nearby Zen Buddhist temples and the Great Buddha are main attractions and souvenir shopping adds the excitement. Kamakura was established by the first Shogun, Yoritomo Minamoto, in 1192 and the shogunate government lasted till 1333. He established his Samurai government which ruled over Japan. After arriving at Kamakura or Kita-Kamakura station, the visitor can easily walk around the city. This city is easily accesable by train from Yokohama (less than 30 minutes) and Tokyo (less than 1 hour). As for my background, I have experienced staying in Louisiana in the United States and studied at the university there. Now I am 60 years old and I am still working for a company, while at the same time, I work as a volunteer guide a few days a month in Yokohama city. I like traveling in foreign countries, and have experienced short time staying at several European countries, North America as well as some Asian countries. Last January, I travelled San Fransico and Merced city, California. I would be delighted to exchange cultural experience with many visitors from all over the world. If you happen to be visiting my country and if you are interested , please feel free to contact me. Toru Ishii

Hi. My name is Yoshihisa. Call me "Yoshie", please. It means good or O.K. in Japanese. I live in Joyo City, Kyoto Prefecture, located just in between Kyoto and Nara. I was born and raised in Iga, Mie Prefecture. Iga is a birthplace of ninja and a renowned haiku poet, Matsuo Basho. I might be a descendant of ninja. I aim at becoming a linguistic ninja, following a part of Basho's lifestyle with the incorporation of seasonal changes into my tours. In addition to visiting famous temples and shrines, I invite you to lesser-known places of historic interest. Once in a month I go hiking or mountain climbing with some friends mainly in mountains surrounding Kyoto and Nara basins. Recently I have got intrigued by the charms of Buddhist statues, which are manifestations of people's wishes and prayers. I also like izakaya (Japanese-style taverns) hopping, tasting delicious dishes and locally brewed sake at reasonable prices. Especially I like communicating with people from home and abroad, talking face to face. Some of the above-mentioned elements are included in my walking tours. I hope you will discover new aspects of cultural and natural beauty in Kansai area through one of my tours which you could never gain otherwise. One of my favorite phrases that come from Zen Buddhism is Ichigo Ichie or this meeting-but only once in a lifetime. My interpretation goes this way: This place and this moment never cross again. Each and every good encounter, however, lingers on like the sound of a temple bell. Won't you explore a deeper world of Japanese culture in Kyoto, Nara and Osaka with me?
