Hi.
I’m Seigo.
I am a licensed guide in both English and Chinese. I can speak Spanish just a little bit.
I enjoy listening to music, watching sports, driving in my car, and learning new languages in my free time.
Since I have lived in Kanagawa my whole life, I can offer satisfying private customized tours to each guest group.
My recommended destinations in Kanagawa are Kamakura, a seat of Japan's first Shogunate, and Hakone, a popular resort area with mountains and Lake Ashi.
In addition to the standard tourist destinations, I can also drive you around some nice places in the suburbs of Tokyo that foreign tourists don't usually visit.
It will be great if you have fun exploring Japan with my little help.
Please feel free to contact me anytime!
I'm looking forward to seeing you soon!

“Awesome Highlights of Tokyo 1-Day”
With no time to plan and very little research, I hastily booked a stop in Tokyo during legs of international travel. I found Seigo's profile online and we started exchanging messages via GoWithGuide. He massively helped me optimise my time to see some great wonders of the city. I expressed a desire to immerse myself in Tokyo, so Seigo suggested we ride the trains, walk around some of the famous shopping areas, dine in a carousel restaurant, and of course see the major shrines. This is exactly what we did, and it was a blast! We began the day with Seigo meeting me outside my hotel – he was prompt at our meeting time and had an itinerary with a few options ready to discuss. We ran through the list and then set off, walking to the train station to ride to the Meiji shrine. At the shrine, Seigo was a fountain of information about the shrine itself, landmarks, cultural significance, and more. I had lots of questions – Seigo was great in entertaining all my queries and was fun to talk to. He also had some great advice on dos and don’ts at the shrine. From there, we visited fun parts of the city, including the Shibuya Scramble Crossing, the five-storied pagoda in Sensoji Temple, many shopping streets, and finally the Tokyo Tower. As a guide, Seigo was great – he has expansive knowledge of the city and sights, and at every stop he asked me what I was most interested in. There were several times during the day we set about a new direction based on my input as we went along – he was really flexible, and that made everything easy and fun. At the end of the day, Seigo rode the train back to the station nearest to my hotel. I was happy to walk back on my own (about 1k), but he made sure I had the route set on Google maps, and then checked-in later to verify I’d made it home alright. Overall, Seigo was a pleasure to be with, planned a really fun day, and adapted on-the-fly to my preferences, making everything simply a delight. I highly recommend Seigo as a guide.

(11 reviews)Hi Steve, thank you for booking my two-day tour. You were too busy to see many things in Tokyo and around Fujisan, but I tried to meet your requests, including the highlights and a few off-the-beaten-path places. I am pleased you enjoyed Day 1 traveling around Tokyo by train and subway. Looking down from the observatory of Tokyo Tower may have given you an idea that Tokyo is just huge. I hope you return shortly to have much more fun in the big city. Seigo

“Amazing Full day Mt Fuji tour with Seigo!”
This is a review of our 3rd day tour with Seigo, following 2 wonderful days together! This full day tour was outstanding and truly memorable. We started the day with a drive to Arakurayama Sengen Park to visit the Pagoda there. Seigo gave us tips for ascending the 398 stairs to reach the Pagoda, and we were glad we did so! At the top, there were breathtaking views, but sadly no Mt Fuji views as clouds engulfed the area. Next we visited the Lake Kawaguchi area and caught an ongoing festival there and the absolutely amazing change of season colors in the area! Seigo took many photos of us with the beautiful Fall colors. While walking around the Lake, Seigo excitedly pointed out that the clouds were clearing and we would at last get our first views of Mt Fuji! And what views we got! Mt Fuji is majestic and impressive and easy to understand why it is such an iconic part of Japan’s culture and identity. We took numerous photos and Seigo took many more of us in front of Mt Fuji. It was awe inspiring! From there we drove to a local town for a super fun revolving sushi experience that was both delicious and memorable. Seigo took us shopping for souvenirs at our request, helping us find local crafts and products to bring home. Following our visit to Mt. Fuji WHICH WAS AMAZING, we drove back towards Hakone to visit the Hakone Open Air Museum, stopping along the way for an impromptu visit to see the Sengokuhara Pampas Grass fields that were in full bloom! The Hakone Open Air Museum is amazing. With extraordinary outdoor sculptures throughout and an exceptional Picasso exhibit indoors, it is a must see stop in Hakone. Seigo made sure that our 3 day visit to Hakone and Mt Fuji was memorable and catered to our interests. Along the way, we experienced this incredible area and scenery and our visit to the area was made more enjoyable by Seigo’s kindness, thoughtfulness and great knowledge of the area. A wonderful end to 3 glorious days in Hakone and Mt. Fuji!

(11 reviews)Thank you for your wonderful review. Yes, you both made it to the Pagoda climbing 398 stairs. It was Sugoi! Now I would like to expect you to try to climb to the top of Fujisan on your next visit to Japan. I couldn't be happier we shared the picturesque views of autumn foliage and the awe-inspiring views of Fujisan on the shore of Lake Kawaguchiko. The memory will last forever. Thank you again for your cooperation throughout 3 days. I hope we meet again shortly. Seigo

“Wonderful day exploring Hakone area with Seigo!”
Wonderful second of three days with our exceptional guide, Seigo! My wife and I have just returned from a wonderful trip to Japan that was highlighted by 3 glorious days in and around the Hakone area. This trip was made so wonderful and memorable as a direct result of having Seigo as our guide throughout. This is a Day two review only as there is much to describe! Seigo picked us up for our planned half day tour and took us for an exceptional lunch at a one hundred year old Ramen shop that we would never have experienced on our own. From there we traveled to the Owakudani Valley and rode the Ropeway there, getting the opportunity to taste the famous black eggs (which were actually quite delicious)! We traveled the Old Tokaido Road and visited the Hakone Check point with Seigo explaining the historical significance of each. We passed by the famous Hakone Shrine as well. We ended the half day tour by visiting a local woodworking workshop to see (and purchase) beautiful artisan created works. We had a wonderful day in and around Hakone with Seigo!

(11 reviews)Thank you for your kind words. As you mentioned, it was a shame you couldn't see Fujisan due to the overcast, just saving the hidden gem until Day 3. But I was still happy to take you to the local popular restaurant with a long history for lunch with your tasting the Omelette Rice originated in Japan. Hakone is a beautiful destination worth a visit for foreign travelers and Japanese people alike. I am sure you will enjoy a lot more next time. Seigo
