I am a national licensed guide-interpreter based in Tokyo, with a background in art, design, and the creative industries. I have guided over 200 guests from around the world, including families, couples, and solo travelers, on both classic Tokyo highlights and more tailored cultural experiences.
Beyond the popular districts like Shinjuku, Harajuku, and Shibuya, I love introducing hidden gems—stylish cafés, vintage clothing stores, contemporary architecture, craft markets, and unique cultural spots connected to everyday life in Japan.
I also enjoy hiking, traveling to nature-rich destinations, and working with plants as part of my creative work. Because of that, I am very comfortable guiding tours that blend the city with nature, such as day trips to Hakone for onsen, art museums, scenic spots, and beautiful views of Mt. Fuji.
Whether you’re interested in fashion, architecture, seasonal flowers, or a deeper dive into Japanese lifestyle and design, I can tailor your tour to your personal interests and pace. “Wonderful Day in Tokyo with Ai!”
I had an excellent experience with Ai for our tour! She is very insightful, kind, and genuinely wants the tour to be about what you want - not what is easiest for her. She went out of her way and sacrificed her own time to obtain seating at an outstanding sushi restaurant for us! Ai is very accommodating and flexible about designing the tour around your needs and interests. She is very knowledgeable about Tokyo and is an absolute joy to spend time with. “Pleasant Guide”
Very pleasant guide and in touch with the "teenage". Had a last minute request to see the $20 dollars strawberry but obvious she did not call ahead to make sure it was there so ran around to two places with no luck. Otherwise all was good and she did a decent job accommodating my daughters mobility issues. Young guide who is good but will develop to be excellent. Very pleasant person.

Regarding the strawberries, as we discussed when you kindly requested the last-minute itinerary change just a few hours before our tour (as all of the original spots had been visited the previous day), it was before opening hours, which made it difficult to call ahead. However, after checking the first store on-site and confirming they had other fresh seasonal fruits, your daughter kindly agreed to check the second location as well. I do apologize for any confusion or lack of clarity during our busy day. Although it was my first experience catering to mobility needs (as I mentioned when I received your first inquiry), I tried my best to accommodate your requests on the go, but I am sorry for any shortcomings.
