Hello! Thank you so much for your interest in having me as your tour guide.
I am a national licensed guide-interpreter based in Tokyo, with a background in art, design, and the creative industries. I have guided over 200 guests from around the world, including families, couples, and solo travelers, on both classic Tokyo highlights and more tailored cultural experiences.
Beyond the popular districts like Shinjuku, Harajuku, and Shibuya, I love introducing hidden gems—stylish cafés, vintage clothing stores, contemporary architecture, craft markets, and unique cultural spots connected to everyday life in Japan.
I also enjoy hiking, traveling to nature-rich destinations, and working with plants as part of my creative work. Because of that, I am very comfortable guiding tours that blend the city with nature, such as day trips to Hakone for onsen, art museums, scenic spots, and beautiful views of Mt. Fuji.
Whether you’re interested in fashion, architecture, seasonal flowers, or a deeper dive into Japanese lifestyle and design, I can tailor your tour to your personal interests and pace. “Amazing time in Tokyo ”
An Absolute Must for First-Timers in Tokyo! If you are visiting Tokyo for the first time, hiring a tour guide is an absolute must, and Ai is the perfect choice! She guided us for two days and made our trip unforgettable. Ai is incredibly knowledgeable about Tokyo's complex train system and was extremely helpful in securing our train tickets. Because she scheduled our activities so efficiently, we were able to see and do so much more than we could have on our own. On top of that, she was flexible enough to adjust our schedule on the fly whenever needed and took us to two amazing local restaurants for lunch. If you want a seamless, stress-free, and highly experienced guide in Tokyo, look no further than Ai!

“Awesome day out with Ai.”
We didn't quite make Hakone as planned due to my son being sick, however Ai was an absolute star. It was very late notice, but she managed to cancel all train tickets and bookings and get me refunded, then helped organise a new shorter trip the same day around Tokyo for a bit of a food tour. It was a great tour, some wonderful food and Ai the perfect guide. Very professional, friendly and knowledgeable, and of course very flexible to our needs. Had an enjoyable few hours with her and some great food, and she was very lovely and such a caring and kind person. Next time in Japan will definitely arrange for Ai to be our guide again and would happily recommend her to anyone needing an awesome guide while in Japan.
