About Tour Guide Ai M.
I am a 28 year old nationally licensed tour guide :)
I have guided over 200 tourists for the past year, as a guide of the bar hopping tours, hidden gems tours, and private tours. "Tokyo Hidden Gems", a community I made has now 440 members.
I have been fortunate enough to have opportunities to visit 33 out of 47 prefectures in Japan since I was a child, thanks to my parents who are passionate travelers, which has raised my interests in traveling and let me work in the tourism industry after graduation. I have experiences of working at a stylish hostel, and at the largest travel agency in Japan.
As one of the young tour guides, I can show you not only historical spots but also “stylish” spots based on the “subculture” of ordinary young Japanese people.
I love art, design, fashion, vintage clothing, taking photos with my film camera, and coffee.

“Fun and flexible tour”
Ai was great! She met us at our hotel in Shinjuku. We really packed a lot in during our 7 hours with her. She did had an itinerary but was flexible about changing this. We went to a pet cafe, Meiji Jingu shrine, Shibuya crossing, etc. She taught us how to use the subway system as well. We had lunch at her favorite Shabushabu restaurant which was excellent. I would highly recommend her as a guide.

If you want to get a glimpse of Tokyo through the eyes of a young local- go with Ai. Highly recommend- she was very accommodating and flexible with our requests. She found the best sights for us to see during our tour, and recommended shops according to our tastes. Ai was knowledgeable but not overbearing. Go with Ai !

“Amazing experience exploring Shinjuku nightlife.”
Ai was very kind, knowledgeable and friendly. She met us near Shinjuku and guided us through the busy streets, showing off the various sky scrapers and some of their history. We visited a lot of the locale, including shrines, back alley restaurants and bars, and ended the night with a beautiful scenic view of the city from the Government building. It was very fun exchanging stories and she has the answer to many of our questions. Highly recommend!
