Hello.
I was raised in several places, such as Tokyo, Yokohama, Kobe, Osaka, and Nagoya.
After my professional sales experience for a business machinery company in Yokohama, I pursued an opportunity to teach in China.
I worked as a Japanese teacher to foreigners in Shanghai.
The longer I lived abroad, the more I came to appreciate the unique aspects of Japanese culture. So I started learning English and Chinese to become a bridge to help bring foreign visitors closer to Japanese culture.
I would be horored to be your guide as you tour our historically rich country. I am looking forward to traveling Japan with you. Thank you.

“Highly Recommend”
I went on a customized full-day tour of Tokyo with Maru and it was absolutely fantastic! She was incredibly knowledgeable, spoke excellent English, and had a great sense of humor that made the day both fun and informative. What really stood out was her flexibility—she easily adjusted the itinerary to include some spontaneous requests I had to visit specific points of interest. “Wonderful Customization”
Maru was a delight. She provided a tour for my two friends and myself celebrating a milestone birthday. We exchanged a few rounds of messages to customize us (for example, us older guys were not too interested in in Harajuku). She was quite tolerant of my friend who had his first trip to Japan, and had many questions. I sought our Maru even though I add travel to Japan for more than two decades because I thought it would be a nice way to kick-off the trip - and it was indeed!

“Amazing Tour Guide”
We booked a tour with Maru for our first full day in Tokyo and it was amazing! She helped give us a layout of the city, metro, temples, etc. She was sweet and knowledgeable. She was keen to show us things that interested our two teens along the way. Highly recommend Maru!
