Wonderful day in Kyoto with Ai

I contacted Ai in early December about a one-day tour of Kyoto with a list of top choices for a customized trip for my group of five (myself, my two young adult children, and their two young adult friends). She got back to me right away with a proposed itinerary and the suggestion that we hire a private car and driver for the day. Ai responded quickly to all my questions during the planning period and met us at our hotel right on time on the day of the tour. Since it was raining on the morning of our tour day, and one of our proposed destinations was closed for the new year's holiday, she suggested some changes to our itinerary, which worked out perfectly. We had a wonderful day visiting Nishiki Market, the Golden Pavilion, Ryoan-Ji Temple, Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, and Kyoto Station. Hiring the van was well worth the extra expense -- we couldn't possibly have done as much using public transportation, and our driver was extremely professional. At the end of the day, Ai even returned to our hotel with me and my kids while we picked up our luggage and walked with us to find our evening train to Tokyo! Ai is kind, friendly, and very knowledgeable. She also sent us a link to all the wonderful pictures she took during our day together. I couldn't have asked for a better guide for our day in Kyoto!

Dear Virginia, Thanks for having me. It was very fun to enjoy my hometown Kyoto with you, your children, and their friends. Hope to see all of you again next time you come back to Japan. Since Japan will host Tokyo Olympics this summer and World Expo in Osaka in 2025, it would be a good opportunity to come back by a cruise ship so that your husband can join us. Thank you very much once again. your guide, photographer, and new friend, Ai

Kyoto highlights

Ai was enthusiastic and personable, guiding my family through the major sites of western and southern kyoto. The photos she took were amazing! We learned alot about her culture. Her english is perfect. She made lunch reservations and arranged for a private taxi. We just sat back and enjoyed this beautiful city!

Thanks for having me on the new year day 2020. It was a great pleasure to have new-year shrine and temple visits with such a nice, well-educated, and well-mannered happy family. Enjoy the rest of your journey in Japan, and I hope I can invite you my wedding in the near future! lol your guide, photographer, and new friend, Ai

Dear Jennifer and her family, Thanks for wringing me such a great review. It was very nice to know one of the happiest families in the world like you. Yes, we were lucky enough to encounter with Maiko-san at Four Seasons Hotel, and other wonderful memories in Kyoto, which shall remain in my heart forever, too. Hope to see you again the next time you have a business trip to Japan and/or your son will become an exchange student to Kyoto University! your guide, photographer, and a new friend, Ai

Since the opening of the port 150 years ago, Kobe has been influenced significantly by people around the world, and therefore, it has an international touch. The city is rather compact with the Rokko Mountrains in the north and the ocean in the south. You can also enjoy world famous Kobe Beef for lunch.

I guarantee you enjoy the nature and artworks. Naruto whirlpool is one of the three major whirlpools in the world. Please take a look at my blog "NARUTO WHIRLPOOL with VIDEO" In Otsuka Museum of Art, you can see ceramic reproductions of famous artworks. The most magnificent one is Sistine Hall in Vatican with "The Last Judgement" by Michelangelo. All the paintings are reproduced porcelain panel paintings in the original size and space.
