About Tour Guide Chuji B.
Hi! I’m “Chuji”. I’m a “National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter” from Feb. 2018. The reason why I got this license is very simple. I would like to welcome foreign tourists by my genuine hospitality!
My home town was Osaka and I spent college days in Hikone(Shiga prf.), famous for the Hikone Castle. Now I live in Kobe, so I’m very familiar with many sightseeing spots and attractions of Kansai area including Kyoto and Nara, and furthermore, Kochi of Shikoku island where I lived in there for 6 years.
I visited many cities in all over Japan and overseas during my business career and private trip. Through those experience, I am interested in Japanese history, culture and geography, besides I love cross-cultural communication!
Please let me help you enjoy travel in Japan whatever your interest is.
See you soon!

“Fantastic local guide in Kobe ”
We were delayed getting off our cruise in the Port of Kobe and Chuji was patiently waiting for us. He was very knowledgeable of the area and sights that we saw. We covered a lot of ground and moved quickly because of the delay in getting off the ship. He was also willing to adapt our pre arranged schedule to help us find a shop that sold good quality knives at reasonable prices. We enjoyed our time with him and would highly recommend him to anyone. For reference our party consisted of 4 adults and one teenager. Thank you Triplelights for connecting us to a fantastic guide. Thank you Chuji

Kobe Highlights with the Magnificent view
Kobe city is located in the south part of Hyogo prefecture, and is the biggest city in the prefecture. It is characterized by a long district which spans from the east to the west, the port which forms a fan-shaped inlet, and the modern and western cultures in Japan. The city is between mountains and the ocean. Kobe port played an important role being one of five ports which were opened after the long isolation system in Japan. Let's enjoy visiting those places by public transportation together.

Himeji Castle, The Set of The Last Samurai or Engyoji Temple
In 1993, Himeji Castle was designated as the first World Cultural Heritage site in Japan. Because of its striking beauty and elegance, it is popularly known as the "White Egret castle", but in fact it was an impregnable fortress. Next, I would like to introduce you Engyoji Temple, where the movie "Last Samurai" starring Tom Cruise and Ken Watanabe was shot. The temple is located about 6 kilometers northwest from the Castle. We can take a bus and a ropeway from Himeji station to the Temple.
