Would you like to write Japanese characters and alphabet with brush and Indian ink? That's Japanese calligraphy, the traditional art. Works of calligraphy are admired for the accurate composition of their characters but also for the way the brush is handled in their creation, the shading of the ink, and the balanced placement of the character on the paper. I will get ready for the inkstone, brush paper. Just bring yourself and enjoy calligraphy.
If you want to experience tea ceremony, you can. A friend of mine is a teacher of tea ceremony. Tea ceremony has a long history and has deep roots in Kyoto. There are complex steps to taste tea. Please follow the manners. Seasonal Japanese sweets are offered before drinking tea. It brings you out the better flavor of tea. Both experiences are held in a private house. She was punctual, had good English, new her way around perfectly, had a lot of insight about Kyoto and was ver y accommodating and patient. We had to keep up with her, she walks fast! We enjoyed her very much. She was friendly, made conversation and was interested in our culture. I would recommend her for sure!

Thank you very much for having me as your guide. I appreciate your warm heart review. Toshiyo
Toshiyo makes an excellent tour guide, combining expertise, professionalism, and a friendly demeanor. She knows a lot about Kyoto's culture and landmarks and provides fascinating background information at every stop. She's also incredibly skilled at navigating Kyoto's intricate public transportation system. Without her assistance, we wouldn't have been able to explore and learn as much as we did. She's genuinely kind and considerate, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with her. We'll definitely connect with her again on future trips to Kyoto.
Hi Machael Thank you very much for having me as your guide and writing me a kind review. I am glad we could visit both Golden and Silver temples. I really hope you will be able to come back in autumn to see pretty maple leaves. Regards. Toshiyo
Toshiyo was very helpful with our trip to Kyoto. We had problems with our train to Kyoto and were running a few hours late but she did not mind and accommodated us. She is very knowledgeable and we were able to get a lot out of the limited time that we had in Kyoto. Would highly recommend.
Dear Pajman Thank you very much for having me as a guide and writing me the kind review. Your family are so nice and graceful that I was much impressed. Regards. Toshiyo
