Hello,
I’m Noriko, certified national tour guide.
I live in Wakayama prefecture, where there are a lot of nature and historic places, hot springs and delicious food, such as seafood and fruits.
Wakayama stretches from north to south on the Kii Peninsula, however, it takes only about one hour from Kansai International Airport to the north part of Wakayama prefecture.
I’m sure I can help you learn Japanese culture, history, and traditions, and fully enjoy traveling in Wakayama.
I'm looking forward to seeing you soon!
“Wakayama City tour”
Noriko is an excellent guide. She is kind, patient, professional, and speaks very good English. She took me on a tour of the Wakayama city area. We visited places such as Wakayama Castle and Kishi train station (home of stationmaster Nitama, the cat). She gave interesting information about the places we visited--things I never would've known or noticed if I'd gone on my own. Noriko was very organized and kept the tour on schedule, but never made me feel rushed. I highly recommend her as a guide. Thank-you for a great day, Noriko-san!

Dear Joann, Thank you so much for your kind words. I may not have been good enough, but I'm glad that you enjoyed the tour. I look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Best Regards, Noriko
“Re-connecting with Relatives in Wakayama”
We are Sansei (third generation Japanese American) from California and wanted to reconnect with Wakayama relatives that we lost touch with once our grandparents had passed away. Noriko was very helpful before our tour and helped coordinate a meeting with our relatives. She also was tremendously helpful translating for us while we met with our relatives as we cannot speak Japanese. Noriko was very understanding of what we wanted to do and was very flexible in arranging our tour so we could learn about Wakayama and also, spend time with our relatives. It was a wonderful reunion and we were so thankful to have Noriko as our guide.

Dear Tami-san, Thank you for your very kind words. I don’t think I could do enough, but, it was so great to meet your family. I had a very nice time. Thank you. Noriko
“Visit to Wakayama”
I just returned from a trip to Japan which included a trip to a small town just outside of Wakayama City. Noriko helped me locate my relatives. She and I met my cousin and her son. We went to visit my grandparents’ home and the shrine where they are buried. My cousin arranged a short memorial service conducted by the shrine’s priest. Since I don’t speak Japanese she interpreted for me. It was a day I will always cherish. Thank you Noriko for helping to make it happen.
