Itinerary

09:00 AM

Meeting Point

Your Hotel / Amami Airport / Naze Ferry Port

- I will pick you up at your requested location with my private car.

09:50 AM

Amami Park

At Amami Park, I guide you through the island’s history and culture from a local perspective.

The park brings together Amami no Sato, which introduces traditional lifestyles, beliefs, and daily practices, and the Tanaka Isson Memorial Art Museum, which reflects the deep relationship between Amami’s nature and artistic expression.

Rather than simply explaining what you see, I share the background stories—how historical events, geography, and local ways of thinking have shaped life on the island.

As someone who grew up here and later returned to Amami, I offer context that connects the exhibits to real places, everyday life, and the landscapes you will see throughout the day.

This visit helps you understand Amami not just as a destination, but as a living culture rooted in history and nature.

11:40 AM

Cape Ayamaru

Cape Ayamaru is a scenic viewpoint known for its wide, open views of the ocean and gently curving coastline.

Here, we take a short break to enjoy the landscape, feel the sea breeze, and capture photos of northern Amami’s natural beauty.

Rather than a long stay, this stop offers a refreshing moment to experience the island’s scale and openness before moving on.

12:00 AM

Lunch

For lunch, we enjoy Keihan, Amami Oshima’s most well-known traditional dish.

Originally served as a special meal for honored guests, Keihan reflects the island’s history and spirit of hospitality.

This lunch break offers time to relax, ask questions, and experience Amami’s food culture in a simple, local way.

Lunch is optional and not included in the tour price.

01:20 PM

Local Market Visit

We stop by a local market to see everyday island life and pick up local products, snacks, or souvenirs.

Ending Point
