Specialist fishing equipment is rent and full one-to-one support is offered by ayu and mountain stream fishing experts. In the Nagara River system, one of the three clearest streams in Japan, you can enjoy fishing for Ayu sweetfish in summer and amago in spring and autumn.
You can barbecue the fish you catch on the riverbanks or have them cooked for you at a local restaurant.

Tour Important Information
We will confirm your foot size, weight and height in advance in order to provide non-slip shoes and body length up.
Ayu fishing rods cost more than JPY200,000.-, so if they break, you will be compensated depending on the part of the rod.
The amount of compensation, including handling, will be explained to you.
Take out travel insurance in advance that covers accidents while fishing.
Ayu fishi is Middle of May - August only, Amago fish is April - September only

“Exceed expectations!”
It was wonderful day in Kyoto! Koki is lovely person and very well organized. All trip was prepared and planned perfectly, but also he surprised me showing charming places in Kyoto not often visited by tourist. Thanks to him I found charm of old Japanese capital. I experienced tea ceremony in old temple wearing exceptional kimono. Sorry, we had only one day trip! I hope to come back one day. I recommend this guide to everybody with all my heart. My memories are wonderful.

“Awesome day in Kyoto!”
Our family did a one day tour of Kyoto with Koki - and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our entire Japan vacation! Koki was super personable and obviously very familiar with the region.
