Meeting Point
JR Sannomiya Station
- Meet outside the Central Gate. I will send a detailed meeting-point photo before the tour.
Ikuta Shrine
Visit Ikuta Shrine and learn basic shrine etiquette, the meaning of common features within the grounds, and the shrine’s place in central Kobe.
From Sannomiya to the Former Foreign Settlement
Walk south through central Kobe and observe how the streets change between the station area and the port-facing business district.
Former Foreign Settlement
Walk through the former settlement’s broad streets and Western-style buildings while hearing about the period after Kobe opened as an international port.
Nankinmachi
Pass through the district’s decorated gates and central square. This is a cultural stop rather than a meal stop; food and purchases are optional and are not included.
Otsunaka Street
Continue along a smaller street connecting the Motomachi area with the waterfront. Individual shop opening hours vary, and shopping is optional.
Meriken Park and Kobe Harbor
Finish at the waterfront with views of Kobe Port Tower, the Kobe Maritime Museum, the harbor, and surrounding port architecture. Take final photos and receive recommendations based on your interests.
