Located in the heart of Kumamoto, this spacious zoo is home to a wide variety of animals, including elephants, lions, giraffes, and many more. Children will especially enjoy the petting area, where they can interact with friendly animals like goats and rabbits.
In addition to the animal exhibits, the zoo features a beautiful botanical garden with seasonal flowers, a small amusement park with fun rides for young children, and plenty of shaded rest areas—perfect for picnics or a relaxing break.

We will take a Public transportation to Kumamoto city zoo

It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the bus stop to the entrance of Kumamoto City Zoo.

Lunch
For lunch, you can choose to dine at nearby restaurants, buy food from a convenience store, or enjoy a picnic inside the zoo.
Leave the Zoo
Please note that we will leave the zoo by around 2:40 p.m. to ensure we are ready to walk back to the bus stop. The walk from the zoo entrance to the bus stop takes approximately 10 minutes, so please be prepared to leave on time.

Tour Important Information
• This tour involves a lot of walking, so please wear comfortable shoes.
• If your child is too young to walk long distances, please bring a stroller for their comfort.
• If you plan to have a picnic inside the zoo, don’t forget to bring a picnic sheet, drinks, and food.
• Lunch time is from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. You are free to enjoy your lunch during this time, and I will meet you again one hour later.
• Please note that entrance tickets for you, your family, and the guide are not included in the tour price.
The zoo closes every Monday.

Every Sunday, you can request a private tour in Kumamoto — whether you’d like to visit Mount Aso, Kurokawa Onsen, or Takachiho.
I can arrange a car with a professional driver, and I will personally guide you throughout the trip to make your day smooth and enjoyable.
On weekdays, I can also guide you using public transportation, so please feel free to contact me and share the places you’d like to visit.
