I understand that when traveling abroad, many people prefer a local tour guide. While I wasn’t born in Japan, after nearly three decades here, I consider myself as local as it gets! Not only can I share insights about the local culture, but I can also offer a unique perspective as a foreigner who has grown to love this country as my own. With our comfortable 4x4 full leather interior SUV, we’ll explore hidden gems that typical tour buses can’t reach, making your experience even more special. On our way to the sites, I’ll describe anything that catches your eye so you don’t miss a thing. I know that returning back from a great trip can feel like the end of something special, so if there’s anything I can do to make the ride more enjoyable, just let me know. Hello! I'm Jun, your adventure travel guide. My fascination with the nature of Kyushu began when I was a child and my parents took me to the beautiful Aso mountains and their vast green grasslands. That view remains my starting point to this day. Having been born and raised in Kyushu and having studied its nature, history, and culture, I will guide you to the "real Kyushu" that you won't find in guidebooks. From the majestic volcanic landscapes of Aso to the mystical gorges of Takachiho and the hot spring–rich lands of Beppu, Kyushu is alive with breathtaking natural wonders around every corner. It's the history and culture of the people who have lived alongside this nature that make this place truly special. My tours offer more than just scenic views. Through interactions with locals, experiences of traditional food culture, and activities in nature, I deliver journeys where you can experience Kyushu with your whole being. Only by learning how the land was formed, hearing from the people who live here, and setting foot on the land yourself will you have a truly memorable experience. Over the past several years, I have gained experience leading mountain hiking and rural walking tours as a registered outdoor guide of Oita. I have completed Wilderness Advanced First Aid (WAFA) training. Come discover Kyushu's charm with me and create a memory that will stay with you forever!

I had worked for the Japan's biggest travel agency JTB (Japan Travel Bureau) for 35 years as a tour escort for Japanese. I visited 68 countries and of course all over Japan as well. So I’m familiar with almost all of the tourist attractions in Japan. More over I’m also a professional magician now. I’m a member magician of The Magic Castle in Hollywood in US. That's why I made a decision to become an English tour guide. I acquired a tour guide license issued by the Japanese government with a lot of hard work in 2016 and I started from the following year. I work as an English guide approximately 130 days a year. My wife is physically disabled, and I usually care for her. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, I receive home care and bathing services, so I am unable to go out during the day as I have to prepare for and clean up afterwards. I am available to guide on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. I can take up to four people sightseeing in my private car. I am available at any time during evening tours, such as YATAI tours. I look forward to hearing from you. Please ask me first. If it is possible.

Mount Aso Full Day Tour

“An Unforgettable Day!”

This tour was wonderful from start to finish! Steve is friendly and knowledgeable about each location we visited, and even during the care ride gave us information, gorgeous views, and local recommendations. We were never bored! The locations we visited were themselves all beautiful or historically significant places that I highly recommend. Do not miss this opportunity!

ONE PIECE Statues Tour. All 10.

“Great experience ”

We met Steve in front of kumamoto station. We moved from one statue to the next at a good pace, but still with the time to take our pictures and buy the statues. For the stores that were not open, or that had no statues in stock, we were able to buy from him. We stayed a bit longer at the school that was damaged by the earthquake. I can recommend this tour to you. Steve made the travel from place to place an agreeable one.

“Amazing Tour”

The tour was amazing! Steve is a really pleasant and helpful guy, which made the day super relaxed and fun. Besides visiting the statues, he helped us get all ten Straw Hat figures during the tour. I recommend It to everyone! 10/10
