【Private Car Tour】A Half Day to Zao Fox Village

Explore a one-of-a-kind forest inhabited by foxes, that visitors can walk through. Inside this gated area, you can see approximately 100 free-ranging foxes, and they are categorized into 8 species. Zao fox village is located on the outskirts of Sendai city, about 1 hour drive away. This village has attracted tremendous numbers of visitors worldwide because you can actually cuddle a gentle and Echinococcus-free foxes.

Meeting Point
At your hotel (Sendai)
- I will pick you up at your hotel.
Arrive at Zao Fox Village
Once we arrive at the village, we will check-in at administration office. Observing the strolling around and relaxing semi-wild foxes.
Fox Cuddle Session
The village staff will explain the tips of how to cuddle the foxes. They will provide two pieces of outfits to cover upper your torso and leg, so that your wearings won't get any mud and stain. The foxes will be randomely brought to you, and unfortunately you don't get to choose. You will be amazed by how fluffy the fox tail is.
Leave for Sendai City
After the cuddle session, let's have a look at the shop and find some souvenirs for the memory. At noon 12 pm, we will depart from the village and head back to Sendai.
Ending Point
Back to your hotel or another drop point in Sendai city at around 1:00 pm

*Private vehicle and related fees such as its insurance, gas, highway tolls and parking fee.

*Entrance Fee (Adults: 1,500 Yen, Children under 12: Free of charge)
*Foxes Cuddle Session Fee
*If participants are more than 3, please feel free to ask me the price of car. I will arrange a larger capacity vehicle.
Tour Important Information
* This tour will go inside the semi-wild habitat of foxes
* Please wear comfortable shoes as there are gentle slope inside the gated area
* Please be sure not to touch the free-ranging foxes as they might bite you (only the foxes at cuddle session is gentle and allowed to touch).
*I am a guide, and my wife will be a private driver during this tour. The tour fee includes guiding fee, pickup fee, car, highway tolls, parking lot and gas. This tour excludes entrance fee for both the guide and participants, and foxes cuddle session fee for participants.
Kindly reminder: Zao Fox Village will be closed on every Wednesday. Additionally, in order for the maintenance, it will also be closed from 1st Sep to 5th Sep 2025
