Nawate-dori Shopping avenue is also called a frog street. The street represents the image of about 400 yeard ago. The avenue is lined with nearly 50 toy, antique, mom-and-pop candy stores.
You enjoy watching old moving clocks in the Matsumoto Timepiece Museum.
In Matsumoto City Museum of Art, you can enjoy watching the works of Yayoi Kusama both outside and inside the museum. In particular the "Red Pumpkin" in Naoshima is very popular as her work.
transportation fee (you and guide), lunch, dinner, entrance fee and the like
Your transportation fee in Matsumoto city is not needed. The Entrance fee is 1,320yen per person. My transportation fee to Matsumoto is 8,000 yen.
Please use Hokuriku Shinkansen from Tokyo to Nagano and change trains to Matsumoto. It takes about 3 hours for 9,280 yen per person. You use JR train, so if you have a JR pass, you don't need to pay.
I would recommend you visit Takayama through Kamikochi.
