Cristo Rei viewpoint
Visit to the Cristo Rei sanctuary and viewpoint on the south bank of the Tagus River, admiring the magnificent scenery that stretches from Lisbon to Sintra and for the entire riverside coast to Cascais.
Visiting this viewpoint is also a privileged way of mapping out the location of the main points not to be missed when visiting Lisbon.
Palmela Castle
Palmela Castle is a medieval fortification located on top of one of the hills in the Arrábida Natural Park. Its long history is linked to one of the most important periods in Portugal's history when the country fought hard for its independence from Spain.
Here we'll talk about its history, explore its nooks and crannies and enjoy its magnificent landscapes.
Setúbal fishing port
Setúbal is a city known for being an important fishing center, where you can enjoy excellent fish and seafood in its many restaurants. Its fish market has been called one of the best in the world and its colorful fishing port will mark our contact with the beautiful bay of Setúbal, a member of UNESCO's Club of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World.
Here we will break for lunch and a walk around the fishing port and the coastal area.
Fort of St Philip
In this old 17th century fortification located on top of a hill, we will have the first breathtaking views over the bay of Setúbal, the long peninsula of Tróia and the vast waters of the Atlantic.
In this setting and on a sunny day, the stunning landscape is full of blue.
The historical origin of this fortification dates back to the reign of Philip II of Spain when he was also king of Portugal. So it is here that we will continue to talk about an episode of our history, already mentioned during the pick up in Praça dos Restauradores in Lisbon.
The Fort chapel, along with the landscape, is one of the highlights of the visit as it is a masterpiece of Baroque religious architecture in Portugal. The entire interior is covered in tiles depicting the life of Saint Philip and the altar in gilded wood carving is surprisingly beautiful and original.
Arrábida hilltop breathtaking views
In order to admire the magnificent breathtaking views from the top of a 500-meter-high hill, we will drive along the highest road, making a few stops to contemplate the immensity of the wonderful natural scenery.
We'll also have the chance to admire an old convent built into the side of the hill facing the ocean, where a religious community has lived in great solitude and austerity since 1542.

I became a Tourist Guide in 2015 when I decided to give professional continuity to a life that had already crossed other professions.
My passion for history and travel brought me the desire to study and share knowledge about the "history of places", to go beyond what we see, to enter the soul of what we visit and to learn a little about the mentalities of those who inhabited and lived in the same places we visit today.
Private visits are the best way for me to express myself. In my 7-seater van, I welcome my guests in English, French, Italian and Portuguese.
My tours focus on an off-the-beaten-track approach to surprise my clients by discovering the natural and historical beauty of Portugal, but even places that are considered too touristy can be given a unique and meaningful reading.
