The Omaezaki Port is located in the middle of Shizuoka Prefecture. This area is still not so popular with overseas tourists but is filled with attractions.
The tour leads you to two local cities, Kakegawa and Fukuroi. These cities have prospered since the Edo era on the old route of Tokaido. There are several historical sites worth visiting.
And guarantee that the scenery of the large tea fields along the way makes you peaceful and prosperous.

“Great day, shame about the rain!!!!”
Motoyuki was prompt and ready to go for our trip to Mt Fuji and beyond. His enthusiasm is wonderful and he is very adaptable to changing the timetable is you request a change. Local knowledge and history is very strong. And we really appreciated visiting the Saki Distillery as an extra side trip. I have one wish, and that is the entire cost of the day had been prepaid. Don’t misunderstand, Motoyuki had advised that we needed to pay for the rental car on the day, we just wish everything had been fully paid before the trip. We highly recommend Motoyuki, he is knowledgeable, kind & loved to laugh.

“Private Shore Excursion to Mt. Fuji/Shimizu with Moto-san”
After our 12 day cruise of Japan, our group of 5 compared notes and declared that Moto's private guided tour of Mt. Fuji/Shimizu was our favorite of all of our excursions. Mainly this was due to his curated selection of visit sites that spanned different cultural aspects of the area. In a short period of time, we saw waterfalls and lakes with a view of Mt. Fuji, ate peaches from a local vendor, went to an authentic tea house, ate lunch at an authentic non-touristy restaurant, and visited a local sake shop that used 200 year old water from Mt. Fuji to make its own sake. I don't much care for sake, but this stuff was light years ahead of what I've ever had in the States. Moto was interesting, responsive, and very helpful. You can't go wrong with this selection.

“6 hr trip from Shimizu cruise port”
Everything we asked for and more. Moto was waiting as our party of four disembarked the cruise ship. He had hired a very comfortable car and it was great to skip the queues and head off on our Taylor made trip. Moto was informative , spoke perfect English and was very pleasant. We visited a tea plantation , Shiraito falls, Sake brewery , Mt. Fuji interactive museum and enjoyed a delicious traditional Japanese lunch . A great day and we were lucky enough to have plenty great views of Mt Fuji along the way. Highly recommend

Thanks for the review! We were lucky to view Mt Fuji even amid the rainy season. There are so many places to see around the area. You need to stay one more day! Hope you come again and see you then.
