About Tour Guide Yasuko Y.

Welcome to Shizuoka in the central area of Japan.

I was born in Hakone, Kanagawa Pref. and grew up in Izu Peninsula, also studied English at Kanagawa University in Yokohama.

After graduation, I have traveled to a lot of countries such as Europe, U, S., Asia and lived in Australia for a year. I had a great time to visit there to have a wonderful experience.

So I decided to become a licensed tour guide for introducing Japan to foreign tourists.

Now I live in Izu which is close to Mt.Fuji and Hakone.

I'm interested in Arts, Hot Springs, traditional places and of course delicious food.

I would like to introduce beautiful Izu which has lots of Geopark sites and traditional Hot spring resort "Shuzenji, Nagaoka, and so on.

Please Enjoy this area together!!

Bienvenidos

Private tour around Shunzenji

Yasuko met us at the train station, gave us a terrific tour of the wasabi farms and then onto Shuzenji. She booked a wonderful local restaurant overlooking the bamboo forest for lunch (traditional buckwheat noodles) and walked us around this charming spa town, where we saw the shrine to the second Shogun and the Shuzenji temple. Yasuko explained a lot about the history of the area and how it fits into Japanese history, the local myths and some of the local foods. She is a very experienced guide with excellent English and so friendly— we had an absolutely delightful time. Thank you Yasuko!

Thank you so much for a good review. I'm really happy to hear that you enjoyed strolling in the Shuzenji hot spring resort and having Soba noodles at the restaurant. Also, the Wasabi farm "Ikadaba." I appreciate your cooperation, the tour went smoothly.

A special day with Yasuko

Thank you Yasuko for a memorable day. This was our last port and we had already taken many great tours however our time with Yasuko was a highlight of our trip. First we enjoyed going to a tea farm and were shown how to roll tea leaves. Then we went to the overlook. Since it was cloudy and no chance of seeing Mount Fuji, Yasuko asked if we would like to see a Japanese garden and temple. THis experience was so special. We felt honored as we were shown around the garden and the inside of the temple. What a wonderful experience. Thank you Yasuko for a day we will never forget.

Thank you so much for a good review, Connie san. I'm really happy to hear that you enjoyed my tour, although we couldn't see the Mt.Fuji. Especially visiting the Ryugeji temple with a Japanese garden and a wonderful ceiling, and four seasons paintings inside the main building. I appreciate your helping the tour run smoothly. Yasuko
