Kamakura is adorable with a lot of old temples and shrines. I have been there more than 100 times and enjoy seeing old structures, gardens, flowers every season and strolling around the town in the countryside. It is located west of Tokyo and accessible by train only for 40 minutes. And Enoshima is a holy island with a long history and legends. It's also popular among young couples and surfers because the island is beautiful. You can learn Japanese cultural aspects a lot there.
