About Tour Guide Megumi Y.
Hello,I'm Megumi.
I was born and raised in Kanazawa, and this city is not just where I live — it is a place I truly love and am deeply proud of. Surrounded by history, traditional culture, and seasonal beauty since childhood, I naturally developed a strong connection to Kanazawa’s past and present.
My passion for sharing the stories behind this beautiful city is what inspired me to become a tour guide. From the rich history of the samurai districts to the elegance of traditional gardens and the local lifestyle that many visitors might miss, I enjoy bringing Kanazawa to life through authentic, personal storytelling.
Because this is my hometown, I can offer insights that go beyond guidebooks — local perspectives, hidden details, and a deeper understanding of the culture that only someone who grew up here can share. My goal is not just to show you famous sights, but to help you truly experience Kanazawa and create lasting memories.
I look forward to welcoming you to my city and sharing its history, charm, and spirit with you!
